UNDERSTANDABLE
Great to break down complex scientific concepts into basic usable information. Very thorough in diagnosis. Additionally, has a common sense approach.

More interested in pushing a single med.
Jason Meckler was my initial neurologist. He was far more interested in pushing the med, Keppra, on me than actually treating my conditions. I was on the med for 1.5 yrs with no improvement as a monotherapy, & actually had *worsening* conditions. This was repeatedly communicated to Meckler, who continued raising my dosage, eventually to 3000mg, before I stopped seeing him for my own safety. He rarely ordered MRI’s to check my status, and didn’t communicate w/ me about my condition, nor his plans as a doctor. I believe he made my condition worse than it needed to be, and his poor choice of meds caused more seizures than they prevented. I finally found very good doctors who have taken great care of me in Kentucky, and none of them are named Jason Meckler. His poor practice has effectively damaged my quality of life for the past decade, because my condition didn’t have to *get* to the point that it did.

Dr Meckler treated me in 2009-2013. He was amazing! I’ve seen multiple Neurologist since he left Louisville. I’m hoping to be able to see him again in Evansville. When he treated me my health was at it’s best!

My mother was a patient of his for more than 10 years. He diagnosed her with MS without doing all the appropriate tests. Pumped her full of medication. Took her freedom, her happiness, her career and dignity. Once he left town and she saw a new physician it became clear that she didn’t have MS and it was all for not. She isn’t the only one either.

I was with Dr. Meckler for 10 years. I trusted him with my life. Turns out he ruined my life. He misdiagnosed me, filled me with medications I didn't need, mentally and physically crippled me for 10 years.

I would definitely look somewhere else for a Neurologist then jeopardizing your health with this butcher of a so called Doctor. He tried to do a LP on an exam table in his office. It went bad from the beginning. A nurse came in to see if Jason Meckler needed assistance and Dr. Meckler told her he did not need any and out of the room she went. He tried several times to get the needle in to my spine and all he did was cause me create extreme pain that ended up lasting for weeks.

Dr. Jason Meckler is the best neurologist that I have ever experienced. He has amazing patience and is a great listener. He is concerned about a patient's total health concerns and not just in his field. He greatly helped me with a concern that no other doctor was able to help He told the truth about interactions that others missed. He called at our home to give test results and returned calls. He is very compassionate. I saw baked goods and canned goods from patients. (Well liked!)

I have never met a Dr that made me feel like they truly cared about my health issues like Dr Jason does. He cares about his patients and goes out of his way to help find the best treatment path for you. If I don't understand something he takes the time to explain it to me and uses terms that I understand. He listens to everything I tell him and will even ask questions if I don't give him enough detail on an issue. He is a doctor that puts his patients first!!!
