This doctor needs to figure his life and attitude out before trying to treat any more patients. My husband had an injury that has left him in chronic pain. Doctor refused to believe him, sent him to PT which made things worse, and was ALWAYS in a terrible mood every appointment. Absolutely no bedside manner. After months of this, we got a second opinion from a different doctor at an orthopedic clinic nearby. The new doctor is a TRUE professional with empathy. My husband is on his way to recovery and doing better already. Do not settle for this doctor, he does NOT listen and you will waste time. Do better, DH!!

Meniscus Repair
Dr. Oliviero was conservative in his approach and clearly outlined the steps that should be taken (by me) before considering surgery for this type of sports injury. The surgery went as planned and he helped me understand the importance of slow and smart rehabilitation. 5 months out I am pain free and back to pre-injury activities. He showed genuine concern for my situation and outlined a reasonable plan and expectations for the recovery process. I would recommend him, without reservation!

Awful!!! He was very dismissive with what I was telling him. My husband was with me . He told me there wasn’t anything he could do for my shoulder. He pretty much told me the pain was in my head. He said the only thing I could do is pt and come back in two months. I can barely move my shoulder and the pain is awful so that’s what he recommends. I will never go to him again. I’m a diabetic I just transition to a new pump he doesn’t hear that instead I’m a poorly control diabetic. Even my husband was trying to tell him that but he didn’t want to hear that.

Would not recommend ! Wanted nothing to do with my injury because it was a workers comp. case. Told me that there is no injury that would prevent anyone from working if they wanted to. Gave me a quick exam and said it was "old age". Move on if you want treatment!

I was seeing Dr. Oliviero for a shoulder injury that was work related. He examined me and then told me that if I had a tear it was related to old age not my injury. He then made me do exercises that aggravated my shoulder and increased the pain. It was obvious from his comments and demeanor that he did not want to treat me because it was a work injury. He said he believes there is no injury that would prevent anyone from working. He concluded that there was nothing he could really do for me. I would not recommend this doctor if you have a work or personal injury related injury, he wants nothing to do with it. He never treated me so I cannot comment on anything other than him aggravating my injury.

Was referred to Dartmouth Ortho for a second opinion. Originally referred to a different provider, but was given some excuse that he only does "replacements." Somehow this doctor got my records and without seeing me I was told that there is nothing else he can do. I will never go to this establishment.

I was referred to Dr. Oliviero last year for a shoulder issue. He was very thorough, explaining my condition in detail, ensuring that I understood the situation and his recommendation to address. He corrected my issue and I was very pleased with the outcome. I now am experiencing the same issue in the other shoulder and didn't think twice about coming back to Dr. Oliviero. He is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. If these are the qualities you expect then he's your man.

I find Dr. Oliviero to be very thorough, intelligent and caring. He has cared for my son, my wife, my father and myself. His diagnoses and treatments are always spot on. He even performed a very successful ACL repair on my wifes knee. This is the only orthopedic doctor I will ever see when it comes to knees and shoulders. He always goes above and beyond what you would expect from a doctor. He is the best physician I have ever seen, and I have seen many.

The doctor did not listen to me, told me he had no idea why I was in pain, and gave me a cortisone shot I told him I did not want. He then told me he would refer me for a 2nd opinion....utterly useless doctor. I left his office in tears!
