I went in for numerous health concerns - none of which he addressed. Instead, for months every appointment was focused on my blood pressure and reminding me that my weight was an issue. At my last appointment, when I began to speak as he entered the room, he literally hushed me so he could talk. I felt unseen and unheard. I felt as if he talked down to me, as if he knew best because he was a doctor. I felt frustrated that none of my other concerns were being addressed for months. So, I spoke to someone in the office and addressed the fact that I did not care for his bedside manner, and was told this is a common occurrence, but that he refuses to change because 'He is doing what is best for his patients.' I've switched doctors now and in one month - they've learned I have Lupus. They've done in one month with blood tests what he didn't bother to do for a year. That's NOT what's best for me.
What went well
  • Office environment
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Staff friendliness
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Appointment was rushed
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

Poor Communication
He wanted to increase my medication after seeing me for one visit and insisted on a follow up visit. I wanted to keep my same prescription but he refused to approve it when submitted by the pharmacy but approved an increased dosage that he recommended. This was a level of deception that made me uncomfortable and I changed physicians after my 2nd visit. The staff there has always been very good as I had been a patient at that location for well over 20 yrs but I'm happy I made the decision to move on.
