Not the Dr. Phillips I remembered 5 yrs ago
It had been five years since Dr. Phillips had performed a colonoscopy on me. This was at Harlingen Medical Hospital. All went very well there. Considerate care providers and I wasn't left to wait up to three hours before my colonoscopy. Dr. Phillips is now with Texas Digestive Specialists, Harlingen, TX. I was told to be at Platinum Surgery Center, 2220 Pease St. , Harlingen. TX. at 7:30 am . after waiting two hours I started visiting with several others who also were waiting for Dr. Phillips and they had times before me. No one came and explained the delay. I went up to the receptionist and asked what the long wait was for. She told me that it could be 3 to 4 hour wait. I told her that I was told the colonoscopy and recovery time would be about 3 hours. I told her I don't have all day to wait. My time is valuable and it would be considerate of staff to advise us of the delay. I told her I was leaving. I will not recommend Platinum Surgery Center to anyone I know. Dr Philipp?

If I could give a minus to Dr. Jason Phillips I would. Dr. Phillips misdiagnosed my husband with bile duct cancer and recommended a Whipple procedure. He recommended a hospital nearby to have it done at. Luckily we were able to get him into MD Anderson. First thing they said was there were several things to be done before jumping to a Whipple. After several months and tests it was determined he had no cancer but needed his gallbladder removed. He has been fine ever since. This doctor is a quack.
