Great job with my surgery
Dr. Pollard was direct, communicative and knowledgeable. I appreciated him listening to my initial concerns about my toes and not minimizing. Great surgeon!

Great Dr but...
Dr Pollard was a very easy to trust & good doctor. He did an incredible surgery on me after I got in an accident and even let me pick the music i wanted to listen to in the surgery room (even though i was asleep). Only docking a star because in my follow up appointments he was a bit dismissive. I told him I had a lot of pain in my ankle (different areas than the surgery site) he would just respond 'well yeah, you got in a serious accident & had a serious surgery.' I wish he would've just talked me thorugh it a bit better. Also when I mentioned I couldnt feel some of my toes or half of my foot he just said 'you could have nerve damage. we'll see if it goes away within the year.' Very short. He did see me on short notice though the day after my surgery when I was having excruciating pain because I felt like my splint was too tight. He squeezed me in 10 minutes before they closed and put me in a light weight and breathable cast which I really appreciated. Knows his stuff but not soothing.

He belittles his patients and does not follow up on requests. I explained my PTSD and how it affected short-term memory, and that I needed things in writing after visits. Not once did he provide anything in writing without follow-up requests from me.

Dr. Pollard recently operated on my ankle. He did a great job and everything came out great. During all of my contacts with him he took the time to sit down and really be present with me. This give me the opportunity to ask questions which he answered patiently. Dr. Pollard does have a no-nonsense approach but I also noticed that he went out of his way to make time to see a young boy with an injured foot who had no appointment. Dr Pollard, good surgeon, good person. RECOMMEND.

He’s competent and knows his stuff but you might be not able see that because his bedside manner is poor and he seems to treat staff, that may not be “physician level” as less than.
