Arrogant and wrong, dangerous combo
He is a bit of an idiot, might be book smart but his application of the smarts to action as well as interacting with his patients falls short. I had to get a different neurologist who wasn't so high on themselves.

Takes you seriously, willing to try new things
I love visiting Dr. Rosenberg because he takes me and my symptoms seriously. You can tell he is willing to try new things and pull on experiences he has seen and viewed in his personal practice and that is something I appreciate. As someone who does not always fit the 'norm' of data or medicines, I always appreciate when a physician tells me what they have witnessed personally or lends me their personal expertise - not just how the medicine or treatment is 'supposed' to work and what's 'normal.' He's cut and dry, to-the-point, but is always willing to answer clarifying questions, and never makes you feel like you can't be honest. He is the ideal physician for someone looking for new ideas, critical thinking, and optimism - but not in an invalidating way.

Not what we expected. Mercy picked a bad dr
Took my daughter there who endured three cardiac arrest, and ischemic damage to her brain. We only went to him because he was in the same building as her primary care. When our apt first started, he introduces himself and then he looked at my daughter and told her that if she didn’t smoke marijuana, she wouldn’t be sitting there. We were told in the beginning that she had a stroke. He explained was that it wasnt a stroke, but it was Ischemia. Which no one had told us before, and I was willing to listen and excited. My daughter has a condition where she’s allergic to cannabis. He then proceeded to tell my daughter, knowing she has this condition that you may be able to get medical marijuana for her hand. He then tells her that she could be a good candidate for adhd medicine. We don’t want to go back to him. I want to see another doctor in the practice, but they will not let us. Please do not go see him. He’s not a very good doctor and he likes to fight with his patient.

Nothing but love for the man!
I love Dr Rosenberg! I’ve been plagued with involuntary arm movements for 20 years. I’ve gone to a couple of neurologists who never gave me answers. So, I tried Dr. R. He was so attentive and thorough. Spent well over an hour with me, explaining I actually had several things going on. Great sense of humor. I felt so validated that I wasn’t crazy. He was also honest. Told me my condition was over his head but would find me a sub sub specialist to help, that I deserved someone who was more specialized. How many doctors would say that? And actually research the best person to send me to? I was very impressed with him. I see reviews that he was arrogant and condescending. I just don’t understand how anyone could feel that way. Maybe they didn’t get his humor? I don’t know, but if you need a neurologist- he’s fabulous.

Honest Review
Dr. Rosenberg is a very talented & highly knowledgeable clinician. His credentials as founder & former Director of Hopkins Bayview headache center & at Kaiser Permanente speak for themselves. That being said, is Not the doctor you go to for run of the mill medical - this is your ace in the hole for when you’re at a dead end, back against the wall, then you Must go see him. 100% agree with those saying he’s best for a 2nd opinion or unique urgent problems. Also agree with ppl on his demeanor - he’s not the doc to comfort, coddle, or be a soft landing in Any way, he is your everything is going wrong please jump in & triage ASAP doc. Do Not question him or his feedback, but do Not be afraid to ask for clarification - he’s excellent at explaining why he’s doing what he’s doing for you, but will not debate you on his chosen approach. He’ll fight for you when you need it, so use his & your time wisely. Hope that helps!

Was informative, intelligent and polite
My daughter has been a patient of Dr.Rosenberg for 3 years. I only met him once but he was very polite and explained my daughter's treatment and conditions extremely well. He is very knowledgeable of her condition and even though he did believe she had a different disease at first he still made her get all the tests she needed to be certain... he was wrong but he did find that she also had another serious condition we well. He didn't just accept his own opinion and diagnoses. He did what a good Doctor is supposed to do. He put my daughter on a better medication that treats both conditions and she has done very well on the drug than previous treatments. I've read some very negative reviews on Dr.Rosneberg but that hasn't been our experience. He answered our questions and explained in detail all of my daughter's conditions. We are very happy with his health care.

Mixed Feelings: Smart Neurologist But Mean Doctor
TLDR: good for a second opinion; be careful. I've seen Dr. Rosenberg twice. I have to say - I'm not his biggest fan. He was, like the reviews stated, definitely knowledgeable. However, the reviews about him being arrogant are also spot on. He was way too high on himself to actually listen to what I had to say. Unfortunately, I'd argue that regardless of how good his knowledge base is, any doctor who won't listen to their patients (even when they disagree) does more harm than good. He was quite condescending, and I felt very unwelcome in his office. I'd say he's worth going to for a second opinion or if you've hit a dead end - but beware of who you are talking to - just agree with what he says, don't ask deep questions, and DON'T challenge him (he yelled at me for asking a question - this is never ok in medicine). Approach this guy with caution - he's a smart neurologist (who thinks he knows other specialties too - spoiler, he doesn't), but he's also a very mean and close minded doctor.

A really knowledgeable physician.
Dr. Rosenberg has been treating me for several months following a traumatic accident. He knows his stuff. Dr. Rosenberg is a no nonsense doctor who practices medicine based on facts. He won't try to sell you his own brand of supplements or subscription treatment regimens that he profits off of like other doctors I have worked with. He his highly knowledgable and stays up to date on recent clinical studies and developments. He answers all of my questions very thoroughly and listens extremely well. He has really been instrumental in my recovery and I am extremely grateful to him for all of his help. I highly recommend him. He has really helped me start to get my life back on track. Thank you Dr. Rosenberg!

Cruetzfeldt-Jacob disease
Dr. Rosenberg was the first (of many) neurologists to understand and diagnose my late wife's rare disease and provide what little support was available. He was knowledgeable, kind, and supportive through some agonizing months. He also went out of his way to work with and finally provide on-the-record criticism of my insurance company which deliberately misdiagnosed her illness and refused to pay her medical expenses. I owe him a debt of gratitude.

I met with Dr. Rosenberg because of severe migraines. He asked me to describe them and when I hesitated in my description he barked the same question at me in an angry tone. I explained that when my head hurt it was harder for me to respond because of the pain. The total time seeing him was only 20 minutes after waiting for 40 minutes to see him. He was very arrogant and rude. He subsequently prescribed two medications that were not helpful. He then tried to telle that I was depressed and should see the psychiatry department. For all his credentials, he had no empathy nor true understanding of migraine headaces and how disabling they can be.

I've been seeing Dr. Rosenberg for several years and have found him to be incredibly essential to my migraine management. He is extremely knowledgeable and up to date on research. He takes the time to discuss all research with me, answers all of my questions completely, and in general is very easy to talk to. He doesn't make any assumptions about what I might find most helpful and is open to hearing from me about what I'd like to try (after presenting all the options and newest research).

Suffer from severe chronic migraines and was really looking forward to seeing Dr. Rosenberg... until I actually met him. Extremely arrogant and way too absorbed in being right instead of actually listening to the patient and empathizing with the issue (honestly can't even believe he actually suffers from migraines). I felt as though I was being shamed for my condition being so severe, even though I have tried everything over the past few years to improve it w/ many other qualified doctors.

I have been seeing him for 3 years. He is difficult to get into in an emergency, so making a followup immediately is recommended. He works closely with his PA who is easy to get into. Never had a problem with follow-up via phone or myChart. HE IS WORTH waiting for. He knows about meds, tests and treatments months before they are available. He believes in patient input into their treatment and does not throw medicine at a patient unnecessarily.

I have been suffering from severe headaches and several mths after requesting for an appt, I finally met Dr. Rosenberg. He recommended some tests and asked me to schedule a follow-up appt. When I called back a week later, I was told that the next appt was 5 mths out. I contacted his office several times to at least send me the test results via the online portal, but they never responded to my requests. They don't know how to care for patients and it is a joke to call them healthcare providers.
