Did not look at MRI, and didn't treat #1 item
Went to him every 6 weeks for 3 months complaining about pain in the Knee. Had an MRI right after injury. #1 item on MRI was a meniscus tear of the root. #2 was a stress fracture. He treated me with Vitamin D for the stress fracture. Now after 4 months of pain, he suggests surgery. I now have damage to my cartilage and the stress fracture has opened up and has an edema growing in it, and need a knee replacement.

Charges out of control
I visited with a broken toe, my dr suggested it. I knew what my co pay way so ok. However, in the less then 10 minute visit he took a piece of tape (charge $20 for that) and wrapped it around two toes (charged $240 for that). It's insanity. I have to pay $260 for a three second and $2 tape toe next to it? Even before I got the billing I was unhappy with the total waste of time going to this dr. I think my dr just recommended it to make money for LVHN. I have called my insurance and their people and they say all is good I need to pay that $260. I will be switching providers after this to get out of this health network. I should have done this last year when iffy billing happened.

Absolutely NOT. Did NOT look at X-rays, did not examine wrists, when told pain severe on L wrist, said it was sprained. Did NOT listen to history, and would not examine right wrist, said it was referred pain from arm fracture. New MD saw X-rays and left wrist is broken, rt wrist is separated (probably snapped tendons and ligaments). Disgraceful, negligent care!!!

He doesn’t care about the patients. He just think about how much he’s going to bill your insurance. He spent less than one minute checking my injured ankle and sent a lot of bills each of one I had to pay my copayment. He insisted on giving me a brace I couldn’t wear even after I told them I had a brace at home from a previous injury. They billed my insurance $ 150 for a brace you can buy at any surgical supply for $ 20. Be aware with these doctors that only want to milk your insurance company. They are the reason we have a health coverage so bad and so expensive.

I went to him for a second opinion. I regret it. He had a holier than thou attitude. What I asked him was beneath him.

I came in with foot pain and he did not take off my sock. When you injure your foot one of the first things a doctor should do is take off your sock and examine your foot! Not only was I not satisfied with my visit but I got an x-ray and was not told the results. Which is funny because in the summary that I got a month after my visit it said that the x-ray results were discussed with me (that was lie #1). In addition, there were notes in my summary that gave me symptoms that I did not have so when my diagnosis was given it was more obvious because they were "my symptoms." Too bad that I DID NOT say that they were my symptoms because they were not my symptoms. Also, in the summary, it said my foot was not swollen (which is funny because it was) but maybe if he took off my sock he would have noticed it was swollen. Do not go to Dr. Rudolph unless you want someone who doesn't care about his patients and gives you a random diagnosis.

My husband and I have been to Dr Rudolph many times. He has always been exceptional in diagnosing our issues. We were in a motorcycle accident in western Pa and we returned to Bethlehem two weeks after hospitalization. We were advised by UPMC to go to the doctor that treated us to ensure continuity in treatment. Instead we called Dr. Rudolph who coordinated our treatment with the doctor.

I would recommend Dr. Rudolph for anyone looking for a great orthopedic doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Rudolph for many years and trust in him 100%. He always explains everything so you can understand it and even draws pictures to help you understand the anatomy. He has helped me tremendously over the years and several of my family members also see him for their orthopedic care. You never feel rushed and he takes his time with you and answers all questions.

Did not fully explain my CAT scan results after I had been treated for a broken ankle I found out from another doctor that I had another injury in my ankle that Dr. Rudolph never explain to me or told me I had this injury required surgery that I could have had sooner instead of waiting for months until I saw another doctor. Dr. Rudolph spend little time listening to his patients and I feel like my concerns were not addressed when I told him very poor bedside manner
