Today I got another miracle of modern medicine!
For over a year and half I have suffered back pain from lumbar spinal stenosis. My body was not cooperating with my retirement plan. I couldn’t pick up my grandkids, golf, or enjoy any of the activities that I used to be very active in.I tried medications, chiropractor, physical therapy, and spinal injections. Imagining showed the disk between L3 and L4 was gone. The spinal cord was rubbing against bone. It was very painful.A friend recommended that I see Dr Jason Tinley at Texas Health Fort Worth. Other surgeons recommended a more evasive procedure.Dr Tinley did a non evasive procedure that involved removing bone inside around to prevent the spine cord rubbing against bone and bone grafts to fuse the L3 and L4. He said the other procedure was not a long term solution and in two to three years, I would right back looking at surgery.I’m doing great highly recommend him!

Left and forgotten about?
Second visit went very poorly. I probably should not have even gone as all the plans had to be put on hold. But the staff, particularly the person at the front desk seemed uninterested. We (wife and I) were shown to an exam room, answered a few questions and then left alone. After almost an hour, I stepped out to see what was going on and how much longer we would have to wait. There was no one visible in the hallways, no one at the front desk, empty waiting room. My wife, and I, were very uncomfortable in the stiff chairs, so we left. Will not be back.

BEST DECISION EVER!!!
My name is Rachel, and I battled with back issues for just under 20 years. I heard for years “never mess with your back because you will always have problems, and will regret it”. So, I pushed it aside, and tried the usual route. I did the shots, PT, stretches, ignoring it, etc. I had problems with L5-S1. Bulging discs, and then discs that would not retain fluid, stenosis, degenerative spinal disorder, arthritis, etc. My pain was to the point that I had no choice, but to have surgery. In January of 2020 I had a spinal fusion. On day 2 I walked up and down 2 flights of stairs. I FELT AMAZING! The only pain I had was from surgery, but INSTANT relief in regard to my back. They went through my stomach to operate, so it would not weaken back muscles. I went from feeling 103 yrs old to back in my 20’s (I’m 43)! It’s been 3 years now that I’ve had my surgery, & not even one problem or regret! I have referred about 5 people to Tinley. His staff is super friendly, & amazing! BEST DECISION EVER!

Dr. Tinley is an awesome surgeon. I have had ack issues for years and decided to do something about it. Went to see Dr. Tinley and he advised I needed surgery. He did an amazing job. Could tell a difference the instant I woke up from the surgery. He listens well to your concerns and explains things well. He is always on time and spends as much time as you need to discuss all the issues. Dr. Tinley also has a wonderful office staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Tinley for your back issues.

Pain Free
I have needed surgery for the past 14 year but refuse the standard procedure of fusion on L 3/4 and L 4/5. Dr Tinley performed, what my insurance called a bio mechanical procedure, which created space between the vertebrae and freed many nerves that were being crushed, by using a 3-D printer to make custom fit titanium spacers for each area. Because Dr Tinley’s minimally invasive and unique spacing of vertebrae procedure, I have been pain free for the first tim in 15 years.

Best surgeon in his field
I have had several surgeries in my life, and this man is the most professional surgeon I have had the pleasure to meet. His staff was extremely professional, and every person knew their job and we're kind and caring. He is in high demand ( the good doctors usually are) . He is friendly but also gets down to business. I never felt rushed. My spinal fusion was a success. If you have back or spine issues, this is where you want to go.

I met Tinley today for the very first time. I can see why there are questions about his manner. He does come off as a god complex….less eye contact than normal. He’s not overly kind like my normal doctor. And it was a slow day it seemed, not many people in the office waiting….but he did spend probably 45 mins with me answering all my questions. That could be because my surgery is uncommon and he really wants to do it. Lol

Dr. Tinley and his staff are very professional, supportive and caring. Before, during and after my surgery, Dr. Tinley, David (PA) and Dana (nurse) have gone exceedingly beyond my expectation. They are truly concerned about giving exceptional care to their patients. They are very consistent and prompt returning phone calls. This is absolutely the best medical team I have ever known!

Dr. Tinley is an awesome doctor! Him and his staff will go above and beyond to help you. Amy has went way above and beyond and fought with my insurance company to get my surgery approved in time for my scheduled surgery. Which I am forever grateful for. I am so thankful for all of them and every thing they have done for me. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tinley and his staff. Keep up the amazing work team!

I had severe and constant back pain. Dr. Tinley diagnosed and scheduled me for surgery. He was able to get me the earliest possible surgery date. Dr. Tinley's staff was nothing less then excellent and courteous. The morning of the surgery Dr. Tinley and some of his staff personally visited with me to inform, calm, reassure and instruct. My follow up visit everyone knew my name and welcomed me as though I had known them for years. Nobody wants or enjoys surgery but since my condition warranted it I was blessed to have Dr. Tinley and his staff. I am sure there are many fine doctors and facilities but you will not find one better then Dr. Tinley and staff. I am forever grateful to be pain free, mobile and healing.

No words can describe how Dr. Tinley’s surgical skills have changed my husband’s life who has dealt with back pain for several years, and very afraid of surgery. Spinal injections, PT, losing 30+ pounds – didn’t help. The burning pain down both legs just worsened. No quality sleep at night – only multiple 15 minute naps interrupted by pain. Activities were framed around how much walking was involved (he’d last just a few ft before having to stop & stretch, etc.). Fate finally brought us to Dr. Tinley. His special, less invasive surgical technique enabled a short recovery time allowing us to enjoy a 2 week Europe vacation full of walking just 6 weeks later. Seriously. I never realized how much he’d been silently gritting through life until seeing him in his new, recovered state. He’s happy vs pretending to be. He’s got energy vs being in an exhausted, sleep-deprived, chronic pain state. THANKS Dr. Tinley, and to your wonderful staff - your PA David especially rocks :).

Upon my arrival the desk girl, Jordan I believe was her name, greeted me with a smile and positive mannerism: the rest of the staff was a pleasure to be around as well. Usually good doctors will have horrible staff , or the staff isn’t friendly but a good doctor. It’s nice to have both of best worlds at this office.

Staff has been very friendly and efficient. It is rare to truly trust a surgeon but I had no concern's with Dr. Tinley's plan of care and skills.
