A herniated disc, 20 years in the making. Unbelievable pain (yes, I will say worse than childbirth) for months. After physical therapy and MRI, I had surgery - 6 months later. 3 months into my slow healing, I had a reherniation. My surgery had failed. Dr. Zook said he would suggest surgery as soon as possible to correct. Another MRI a month later, surgery 2 months after that. The whole surgery and recovery process was very detailed and I was given every opportunity to educate myself, ask questions. Dr. Zook's office uses technology that gave me comfort going into surgery. 24 months after my initial herniation, I feel whole again. I can walk without limping and dragging my foot (my leg and foot are still numb); the nerve was damaged. I rarely take any OTC pain meds. Dr. Zook is caring and takes his time at any appointments.

Dr. Zook does not waste his time or yours. He states his findings and makes his diagnosis known, giving his recommendations for your care. His staff is friendly and helpful.

Dr. Zook was friendly and knowledgeable. He listened and took notes both before and after the examination. The X-ray technician was friendly and personable, as was all the other team members I interacted with.

I was impressed that he would pray with me and my wife before surgery. He was very concerned that I knew all the particulars of my surgery.

I've seen Doctor Zook since 2020, initially for stenosis and spondylosis. He performed surgery to alleviate the pain -- it was highly successful. In fact, so much so, 6 months following surgery I foolishly climbed a ladder and fell 11 feet -- crushing 3 lower vertebrae. He continues to work with me to recover from my accident. He is always optimistic about ways to alleviate pain and main mobility. He tells it like it is, but helps me understand options that continue to improve my condition. I highly recommend Dr. Zook for spinal issues.
