Very competent and follows appropriate guidelines. Is looking out for my general health both mental and physical. Not a “candy man” like a lot of others so don’t expect to get inappropriate medications.

I had burning pain on my scalp behind my ear for over a week to the point where it hurt terribly to brush my hair, wash it, put on eyeglasses, etc. I was having trouble sleeping due to the pain and I told him it felt like nerve pain and that I had been to the chiropractor a week prior, and it began shortly after that. He examined me and at first said he had no idea what it could be. I would have appreciated if it would have just left it at that, but then said that he saw redness on the top of my ear (my ear didn't hurt at all). He advised I use cortisone cream on it for a few days and come back to see him as he would be in interested to know if that helped. Since my ear didn't hurt at all and I knew it wasn't topical, I left and called the chiropractor office from the parking lot. They got me in that afternoon and confirmed it was indeed nerve pain due to an issue from my last adjustment. I would have preferred an honest 'I don't know'.

I haven’t had the need for certain medications for over 20 years and didn’t realize the difficulty people would have to go through to get treated regardless of these medications helping. As a matter of fact, I was on the political side of agreeing that these medications should be reduced. Shame on me for being judgmental in that area without having all the information. Its easy to be judgmental until you’re the person sitting in the seat needing help. The frustration you will have when your health is being reduced to political theater by a doctor who you trusted is awful. How a doctor could willfully make a decision that greatly effects your ability to have a normal day to day life is discouraging. If you are comfortable with decisions on your health being made to satisfy a political “hot point” then this doctor is for you.

Dr. Nanra rushed my appointments and insisted I be screened for an STI when I had no reason to believe I could've been infected. He then refused to authorize referrals made for me by another physician. This delayed my diagnosis by months and I am now dealing with more severe complications. His office staff is unreliable and incompetent. They almost refused to see me because Dr Johnston's name was on my insurance card; DUH Johnston's name was there because Nanra practices for Johnston and Assoc. *Sigh* That was after waiting for months for an initial appointment. Don't see Nanra.
