Worst communication
Dr Iqbal would have let me leave my appointment after saying “your MRI is clear check in in six months” and nothing more, even after updating him that I was still experiencing vision symptoms and had novel symptoms the week of my visit. When I asked for more data or information on the plan, he explicitly refused to tell me more, like he said “no.” He literally told me other people had worse headaches than me as if that was helpful, and had the audacity to say since I drove myself there “I was fine then.” Also, I caught office staff lying to my face about submitting an MRI request after two weeks of not hearing anything. He got me on a new migraine medication but that’s the only positive in a sea of bad. Telehealth not available.

A fine, caring physician
I just had an excellent visit to Dr. Iqbal’s practice. Dr. Iqbal is personable, competent, and conservative in his recommendations (let’s not do any interventions now). His staff are friendly and competent, as well. The electromyelogram was done right on time. I’m pleased. I’m puzzled by the slough of negative reviews posted on his website; I strongly suspect a hack, possibly AI-generated to look legit. Dr. Iqbal is a fine physician. The more trustworthy Google reviews look like the truth.

My favourite doctor
Telehealth
He has been very understanding and seems to actually care about me as an individual. He is one of my favourite doctors of all time. I have seen so many and have felt disregarded with many others. I never felt this way with him. He is truly amazing.

You're a clown
You and your practice are clowns. The front desk is a circus ran by staffs children, iqbal is more concerned with his computer and wifi rather than go over your results. Let's his nurse practitioner change my seizure diagnoses to migraines, but put me on high dose Keppra. I thought the days of pill popping prescribers we're over. You're always accepting new patients cause we are always leaving your miserable treatment and medical knowledge behind. I treat my condition better than you and I didn't have to go through medical school.

My first visit to this clinic.
The front desk staff were very helpful and supportive in assisting with all the paperwork that that needed to be completed. The Physician's assistant asked relevant questions related to my medical history. He seemed well trained and knowledgeable about my particular neurological issue. Dr. Iqbal seemed very experienced with my medical issues, and explained at length what his approach to treatment would be. He answered all my questions, and I left feeling he would be available if other issues or concerns developed.

Absolutely awful!!!
Dr. Iqbal is absolutely incompetent and incredibly rude! He does not care to try to problem solve what might be going wrong. He does not listen to patients/families concerns. He is fine with just not doing anything. Find another neurologist. He is not worth the headache.

Wait time was too long
Arrived at 9:45am for 10am appointment. At 10:30am I asked how much longer until my mother would be seen, That's when the excuses began from the staff. They assured me it wouldn't take too much longer. At 11:10 I went back up to ask again what was going on. Just got more excuses. I asked how much longer and they couldn't give me an answer. Spoke to office manager and still couldn't get an answer. Decided to leave since no one knew nothing. i got the feeling this was normal for them. Will not be going back.

Long time patient - appreciative of the practice
I have been a patient of Dr. Iqbal and his practice for about ten years. I have always found the doctors there to be attentive and willing to listen (unlike many in Las Cruces). In the middle years there was a few of the front staff that were difficult, but those that are there now are so wonderful. They call with updates, are helpful on the phone, and go out of their way to assist where they can. The medical support staff at the practice have always been amazing. Thank you so much for taking such great care of me over the years everyone!

The office staffers are BAD they don’t know their own billing, I walked the girl through the insurance process. She says, “oh, there are just so many CY codes”. Really? Then two days before my 8:45 Saturday appointment, receive a call with a reminder to show up early and dress comfortably. Saturday I’m standing in the doctors office and I’m told someone cancelled my appointment? Receptionist says usually there is a name and reason for cancelled appointments, nothing, but doctor Iqbal says fill out the paperwork anyway and stick around, maybe a cancellation or maybe we can get you in next week. Turns out he’s BAD too. You know where you can stick the paperwork, I will go to El Paso. Referring doctor will be notified how BAD they are.

Terrible office service and staff. After making my elderly mom wait for hours past her scheduled appointment time, they refused to let her see the doctor. Office manager was helpful after the fact, but it was really too little too late.

Never met the man. His front office was so bad we left after waiting an hour. The "girl" I interacted with was much more interested in her phone than my appointment. What a joke. Don't get sick in Las cruces. Go out of town for treatment like I will be doing.

First there’s a good chance you’ll never meet the man. You will only see a nurse Like I did each visit. Second, don’t identify yourself as a person (living with epilepsy) otherwise you’ll get A letter stating they want nothing more to do with you as I did. And last but not least be sure to fake your happiness when you see the nurse or Iqbal. This practice is truly a burden to its community.

The office staff is rude, the hang up the phone on you, they close the window right on your face. Unfortunately there's not many neurologists in Las Cruces and you have to put up with this.
