Great Doctor
Telehealth
I have been seeing Dr. Ayer for over 5 years. In my time there she has been a great doctor. As a Dr she is very thorough and very patient and she will hear you all the way out with your concerns. Dr. Ayer has also educated me and my family about my illness and taught us ways to take care of my health outside the hospital and treatment center . Since seeing her my hospital stay went from 1 week of every month to 1 to 2 times a year so I am very grateful to have met her cause ever since then she has changed my health and over all life.

So happy we found a good doctor!
Me and my daughter moved to Tampa and needed a doctor specializing in SCD. I found her through a Google search, that was 5 years ago now. We are so happy to have found this doctor. She is very up to date with the latest information and educates us. She also is very understanding of pain management and the effects of the disease in our lives. Glad we found her!

A doctor that listens!
I sought Dr. Ayer for a second opinion after my physician repeatedly ignored my self advocacy efforts. She was highly recommended by a friend whose spouse was seen by Dr. Ayer with great results. She takes the time to listen, discuss, and teach healthcare options specific tailored for me. I'm seeing positive results after only two visits. The entire office staff are pleasant and professional which is a plus.

Terrific Doctor
I have seen Dr. Ayer for a couple of years. I was initially referred for anemia. However I had multiple medical problems including diabetes, sleep apnea, and obesity which I struggled with for years. She educated me about how all these medication are related and told me that I could reverse all of these medications by changing my diet and losing weight. She met with me monthly and assisted me in completely changing my diet and lifestyle. I lost over 60 pounds in 2 years and completely reversed my diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure and diabetes. No one ever told me before that my diabetes was reversible. I am so thank for Dr. Ayer,

Pass the buck
As a new patient I provided my insurance information as well as my primary care physician details. The office manager Dominique and her staff failed to receive the necessary insurance authorization prior to allowing me to see the doctor. After the inept staff resubmitted the claim no less than four times, they continue to bill me for almost $200.The doctor's office is not taking any responsibility and refuses to see me again without payment for that first visit which would have been FULLY COVERED. I asked if the bill could be reduced due to their negligence but was DENIED. The manager lied to cover herself and her staff. But what is most interesting is I had follow-up appointments with this same doctor PAID by my insurance. Funny how that same staff miraculously obtained an authorization without requiring any additional info from me.Pass the buck to the retired senior citizen.

No Thanks!
My first time in her office, I had just relocated to Tampa and was in excessive pain. I didn't know where to go and was directed to her. She wouldn't see me without paying the $250 office visit upfront even though I was standing at the reception station crying and asking for help, she wouldn't even direct me to which hospital to visit to get help after I explained I was new in the area and didn't know who or where to go for help with my disease.I tried again years later to consult with her and she told me 'I was sick enough' for the treatment that I was seeking. I had a stroke two weeks later.I would NOT recommend this person to anyone EVER. Literally one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered.

Worst office ever starting with their front desk girl very rude. Not punctual at all. Lost my record my appointments were never found always a waste of time to go there! Dr called to ask why I had left after being in her office for an hour and her not coming in, and asked if what office I would not have to wait. Well let me tell you, if you decide to work with appointments you need to stand by them! Our time is as important as yours!! Learn to respect time and teach your front desk some manners!

I am very pleased with my the short time that I have become a patient of Dr. Ayer-Cole. While I am not an expert in her field, I am confident that she is extremely qualified. I am so very impressed with our discussions including the time spent, the knowledge she imparted and her very fine manner. I feel lucky to have met her.
