Dr. Jay Singleton, DO

Dr. Singleton has performed over 42,000 cataract surgeries in his 24 year career and continues to continue his education, integrate advanced technology into his practice, and expand his services to surrounding coutnies in need. He is, in many people's opinions, the best cataract surgeon in Eastern North Carolina and perhaps even on the East Coast. I wouldn't let anyone else perform surgery on my eyes or those of my family or friends. He is the BEST- hands down!!

Singleton himself gave me great results!! Horrendous recetionists!! He is a 5 star but for some reason his reception staff (minus one friendly young lady) were flat, no emotion, make you feel like an irritant at each encounter. They get a 1 star. Leading up to the surgery I was nervous and almost backed out due to the receptionisits poor customer service. My husband and I are happily retired and always upbeat but WOW, monotone and irritable they were. We sat as we always do for the appointment and watched others come in being greeted with the same animosity. I suppose he's the only game in town and does great work. I was referred by my friend and neighbor who said from the start: " ...just dont let the rude girls up front ruin your impression of the place". I now see clearly but didnt need glasses to see horrible reception. I almost backed out due to them but just goes to show you that sometimes the doctor doesn't monitor the staff.

Why leave one if its not positive they don't put it up here!

They are very caring and professional.
