The Best
Very knowledgeable in his field. Very thorough as well and takes the time to discuss all options as well as what to expect. From our first meeting to the day I was released from the hospital, he was professional and thorough. I had a very extensive 8 hour surgery and pray that it will be the last for my back due to his thoroughness. Thank you Dr. Neil!!

Great Neurosurgeon!!!
I was experiencing nerve pain in my arms and hand. After the MRI, I was referred to Dr. Neil and he diagnosed arthritis in my spine which required surgery at the c3,c4,c5 level. Dr. Neil carefully explained two surgical options and the process for each. He listened to me and my concerns, answered all my questions, and he was patient enough to explain the medical processes in a way I could understand. The morning of surgery, Dr. Neil visited me in the prep room and carefully reviewed the surgery procedure again. He made me feel very comfortable and I felt like I was in good hands. After surgery, the pain in my arms is gone. I still have some tingling but I'm able to sleep at night with no discomfort. I thought there would be a noticeable scar where the surgical incision was made in my neck but it's barely noticeable and is fading more every day. I read great reviews on Dr. Neil before my first visit and now I'm the one with a testimonial that, in my opinion, he is great.

Spinal surgery
Our very first encounter with Dr Neil was in the hospital ER on a Saturday after my husband was in a terrible car accident. He took the time to come visit with us in person to explain their findings from the X-rays (in terms we could understand), what he recommended, answered all of our questions, and he even stated we could get a second opinion from someone else if we wanted, but that he highly recommended having the surgery done. He was really awesome and had a fantastic bedside manner!! We did our research and discovered from numerous reviews and conversations with other people just how great Dr Neil really was, so we decided to go ahead with the surgery. The surgery went well, and as we expected, Dr Neil did an amazing job. We couldn't be more thankful for answered prayers and an extremely skilled surgeon. His entire staff, as well as the nursing staff at the Research Hospital Surgical Dept, were so kind, patient, caring, efficient, and understanding...would highly recommend them!!

Excellent from start to finish.
Dr Neil was top notch in everything from the first appointment to the surgery and the follow up appointment and every time in between. He took the time to explain all options and point out the imaging results and what was causing the pain. I highly recommend Dr Neil if you need a great neurosurgeon. My stenosis pain was healed immediately, and the fusion is healing nicely.

I am so scared of my upcoming surgery but meeting with Dr Neil who was recommended by several doctors, explained and took the time and the patience, to listen and understand my concerns. He spent a good 30 minutes with me, just helping me understand what’s wrong with my spine. I am praying that the way he displayed himself to me now, will be the same way on surgery day. One of two doctors that I feel, honestly cares about the patient. Thank you, Dr.Neil. See ya very soon.

Dr Neil is the “ real deal”. He is down to earth.
My first visit with Dr Neil was extremely informative. He answered every single question i had and didn’t rush me. My second visit prior to my surgery was just as good. My extremely complex surgery was scheduled in two separate surgery dates. I was anxious but had complete faith in Dr. Neil. I am now two months out from both surgeries and walking upright without pain.

Dr. Neil took a great deal of time to investigate the history of my back issues before we ever met. He was very confident he could help me in spite of two previous failed surgeries. He explained the procedures he proposed, answered all of my questions, and was extremely realistic regarding the outcomes. The procedure went well, and the result is fantastic! I have had minimal pain since I left the hospital, and despite the extensive surgery performed I was walking without any assistance within four days. The recovery has gone so well that at eight weeks post operation, I have been completely released from Dr. Neil's care. This is a testament to his preparation, development of a plan, and the skill he has to affect the most positive outcome possible. I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Neil for what he has accomplished for me, and highly recommend him as both a surgeon and a compassionate human being.

Dr. Neil is amazing. So kind, shows true compassion and genuine care for his patients. I was terrified when I found out I required brain surgery earlier this year. The moment he walked into the exam room for my first appointment I was immediately at ease and felt 100% confident in his knowledge, skill and care. I never thought there was hope for me to feel "normal". He truly gave me my life back and I am forever grateful.

I have tumors that grow on my nerves, and 3 were found growing inside my spine. I was in excruciating pain, and the only way to stop it was to remove the tumors. Surgery on my spine was a scary thought though. I was terrified of becoming paralyzed, or worse, not even surviving such an invasive surgery. Dr. Neil successfully removed those tumors and, aside from the normal discomfort and pain that comes from having any surgery, my pain disappeared. Now, 3 months later, I am back to work (on light duty for now) and I have my life back. Pain can be so debilitating. No one should have to endure such agony. Dr. Neil agrees. He is a wonderful doctor with exceptional skills. If you ever need a neurosurgeon, this is the person to call!

I had right leg pain, sometimes severe, and assumed it was my sciatic nerve. I eventually got an MRI after 2.5 months, and it showed a severely herniated disc compressing my spinal cord. Once I saw Dr, Neil, he told me it was so bad, he was somewhat surprised I wasn't paralyzed. I scheduled surgery asap, and have been home 2 days, and feeling much relief. Dr Neil has an exceptional bedside manner, and explained in detail the surgery and answered all my questions splendidly. I was apprehensive and nervous and this was calming. I am already walking around normally, and feel all will improve. I am very thankful to have had the expertise and kindness of Dr. Neil.
