The journey to getting an autoimmune disease diagnosed can be long and brutal. She has a wait list, but she's worth it. She's a physician that actually sees you. She listens, looks at the big picture and does her best job to put the puzzle together. She spends the full appointment time talking with you instead of making you feel like a number. And she and her nurses are always available on the portal when I need something between appointments. Love her and her staff.

This is the coolest Dr! Always takes her time-very personable. Explains everything no matter how many times I need her to. She even called me once on the weekend to check on me. Very thankful she is my Dr

Constantly changing meds with worse outcomes. Yes, she’s personable but she is my physician not my friend. IF I hear back from her or her staffin a week I would consider myself lucky. Rarely comments on bloodwork results so you don’t even know if she’s read them. Makes mistakes. She is easily distracted and can lose focus so I have to redirect her back to the issue if we have not resolved the problem. Her nurse is good but her MA is poor and always seems to hate her job.

She is very compassionate and very concerned about her patients. Her bedside manner is awesome I am very thankful to have a rheumatologist that cares like she does and even with the situations that I am going through she does not stop until she gets answers and that is top on my list. Thank you so much.

Dr. Martin is the best doctor I have ever seen in my entire life. I am 61 years old and was referred to Dr. Martin from Dr. Becker. I have been diagnosed with Reynard. She is extremely understanding and goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and has the patience of a saint. She treats you like family and I wish there were more doctor like her in St. Tammany Parish. If you are looking for a doctor and need to find the best, look no further. Patti Ulm

Dr Martin is, by far, one of the best rheumatologist that I have ever seen. The only person that even compares close to her is Dr Spady. Both are excellent and I have seen rheumatologist on both the South Shore and the North Shore. She is caring and it is obvious that she has compassion and a willingness and a desire to get you back to your quality of life. I was so discouraged, and she gave me hope.

Dr. Martin is my 3rd Rheumatologist experience. I've been at it for approx 2 years for polyarthralgia/Sjogren's (so far). First: she *listened* to me. That's rare in and of itself. If you've ever experienced a disconnected physician, you know how valuable this is. Bonus list: Bedside manner: excellent. Clinical reasoning and communication: excellent. She is very, very kind to her staff. Extremely motivated, engaging, and extremely friendly. Here's to hoping the Medical Machine is kind to her!

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Martin?
Dr. Martin is a very good rheumatologist. She was able to run tests and diagnose something that other doctors have overlooked for years, and even was able to re-evaluate a prior diagnosis and determine that when that was done is was a misdiagnosis because there wasn't sufficient information out at that time. I would recommend her without reservation.
