Totally Incompetent
Doctor came in to see my husband. Took no vitals. We suspected cellulitis. The doctor didn't notice the rash or hot spot on his leg. He just saw the bruising. My husband is on blood thinner which we told him. Doctor said it's due to a trauma and he called for X-rays. There were no fractures according to the X-rays. There was no blood work. I finally complained to the nurse and told her that we'd consulted a doctor out of state who had seen the pictures of my husband's foot and said he definitely has cellulitis. Finally the doctor came in - after a two hour wait. I showed him the hot spot and rash on my husband's leg. Still didn't touch it, but said he would give an antibiotic just to be sure. Still insisted it was due to trauma. He's not a doctor. He's playing one and not very well. I could do better analyzing the condition just by googling. My husband is a diabetic, in heart failure, stage 3 heart disease and is on oxygen. No vitals taken? Third world country?

I’d give zero if it was an option
Worst ER doctor I’ve ever dealt with. I asked if he was familiar with my condition to which he replied No and said he’d do some blood work. He didn’t listen to any of my symptoms or try to treat them. So when I broke down and cried he told me I was nothing but hostile and I should try talking to my next doctor without the hostile tone. I was crying and looking at him begging to be treated for my symptoms, and he just walked out. He shouldn’t even be allowed to be a doctor if that’s how he treats people.

Unqualified
After a trip to the ER, this "Dr." discharged my wife from the ER with out so much as a courtesy call. She is a stroke survivor who can not speak and is paralyzed in the right side. I found her in a tee-shirt with out shoes in the er lobby by the door on a 25° day. I only hope to return the favor someday.

If I could leave negative stars I would. My husband went in to the ER this morning with severe back pain. He’s had this pain for quite some time but has lived with it. He sees a chiro regularly who believes he has a slipped disc. Sometimes it acts up but this time was different. He couldn’t walk or bear weight on his legs. Total transparency…he does not have insurance, so he doesn’t go to the doctor or the ER ever unless it’s really serious. Our visit in the ER start to finish lasted less than a 1/2 hr. No tests/imaging. Hardly put a finger on him. The nurse stood behind Dr. Herbst with her arms crossed and he told us why he couldn’t or wouldn’t treat my husband. I am upset, frustrated, and sad for my husband who is in so much pain and just wanted answers. But now feels extremely discouraged. He told us he didn’t want to bump anyone out of an MRI who was scheduled and he thought an X-ray was pointless. He gave him a referral to a neurosurgeon, that he needs insurance for. Just WOW

Probably the worst diagnostician I’ve ever seen. I came in with a simple stomach flu. Spoke to me for 30 seconds, never examined me, or even took my vitals. Said I could have a dozen things and walked off. This man should not be practicing medicine.
