Dr. Jeffery Reuben, MD

The office staff is knowledgeable, courteous and professional. All my questions and concerns were answered; in addition, the staff explained what to expect upon arriving in the office. After arriving, I was seen promptly each time. The nurse, PA and Dr Reuben each took their time to address my concerns, explain the results of my images and develop a plan to alleviate my pain. I highly recommend Dr. Reuben and his staff. Excellent experience.

From the first appointment to surgery all excellent service! We (the wife and I) couldn't be more happy! The entire staff from reception, office nurses, MRI's, DR.Reuben (awesome!) hospital (Hilton Head Hospital) RNs, anesthesiologist, recovery nurses, PT, OT just a great experience overall!! Instantly out of pain. Recovery went great as well. Its been 6 months and wow Thank you Dr.Reuben. Highly recommended

Dr Reuben performed my back surgery that I avoided for years. Amazing how much better I felt after surgery. From his office staff to the hospital staff it really was an unexpected pleasant experience.

Several years ago I found out I had moderate to severe cervical stenosis. I was referred to MUSC but because it was difficult to get back and forth there due to distance and recent knee and hip surgeries, I tried to schedule an appointment with Dr Ruben so I could see a local spine surgeon. He literally told his staff not to schedule me. I had to get my orthopedic surgeon to help in getting an appointment since they work in the same building. At the visit he was rude and clinical notes said I wanted a 5th opinion. I didn’t want a 5th opinion, I wanted to be treated by a physician locally because I couldn’t make the trips back and forth to Charleston. He was rude and abrupt and doesn’t treat everyone the same. I don’t recommend him.

I am a physician and in order to get an appointment with Dr Reuben I needed to get MRI scan from a hospital in Charlotte wher I was an in patient this December. I contacted the Imaging department and they told me the most expeditious way to obtain it was for the doctor’s office to request it by FAX. The office personel refused to do that, citing protocol. I was forced to cancel my much needed appointment.The one stars re Dr Rubin are not accurate as I never saw the doctor but by completing the required boxes was the only way I could submit this evaluation

Dr. Reuben was very thorough and profesional throughout the process. Before, during, and after the surgery. If I had to have another spine surgery, I would try seeking out his office even though I am a state away now.

I sufferred from Spinal Stenosis at age of 80. I live in Greenville, SC. I searched for most relevant surgeon for my ailment. After meeting surgeons at Greenville, on further search, I came across Dr. Reuben as a specialist involved in only spinal surgeries at a distance over 200 miles from my residence. With long waitining; I was accepted as a new patient with hesitation in view of distance involved. I can say without any hesitation; I was lucky to have found his reference. My surgery & follow up treatments including telehealth session was totally satisfactory. He knows not only spinal problems & its solutions, but advises right extent to surgery from patients point of view. I have problem at Lumber joints 2&3, 3&4, 4&5 & 5&S1. He explained & convinced me that you currently need surgical solution at your age for 3&4 plus 4&5 only. Other two areas need not be touched at this time. His advice was to take limited risk of surgery looking to age. Patient's interest was prime in his mind.

There are not words that do justice to Dr. Reuben, his staff, and the exceptional professionalism throughout his office and hospital wing. His office schedule runs on time; he is courteous, honest and empathetic. He is an extraordarily skilled surgeon. He performed a spinal fusion on my back that others said was too complex to fix. he has literally given me back my life and my spinal health. Thank you Dr. Reuben!

Dr Reuben performed a triple fusion on my neck in 2009. I have been 100% pain free since my surgery until 9-9-2019 when I was rear ended by two separate cars as I was sitting in highway traffic on my way home from work. Even though I now live in Florida, I am now turning back to Dr. Reuben with my neck pain. I have been told the work done by Dr Reuben shows no damage in the accident. I had damage above and below his fusions. I trust him explicitly with my surgery and complete recovery from the neck pain in this accident. I would recommend if you have neck pain, Dr. Reuben would be your best choice for pain free, 100% recovery.

Dr. Reuban seemed nice but rushed me. His NP treated me extremely rudely and was obviously in a rush. I waited almost 45 minutes to be seen, and I was extremely intimidated by the NP even though I am a nurse myself. The bottom line is that Dr. Reuban doesn’t want to touch my back because I had previous back surgery years ago. They were very efficient in talking me into getting a back brace from them. I did agree because I was assured that my insurance will cover 100% of the approximately $700 for the cost of the brace. I hope they do, otherwise I will be very upset for sure.

It’s so hard to find a Dr that actually listens to the patients pains and concerns. He was extremely professional. For the first time I felt like I was heard after struggling with back and neck pain.

Dr. Reuben is the BEST! I will never go anywhere else. I recommend him to all of my friends in family even the ones who live out of town! I came into his office unable to stand straight with horrible pain in my lower back; complete numbness in my left leg, unable to move my foot or toe. He did the initial exam where he explained the next steps in the process. Every thing eventually led to surgery. After surgery I was finally out of pain and able to move my toes and foot!! I can not express how pleased I am with his ability and care that he gave me throughout this whole experience.

Dr. Reuben and his incredible team are nothing short of exceptional. From the reception area to scheduling to the nurses to the PAs and the amazing Dr. Rebuen himself, the care is second to none. The best way to describe my experiences over the past few months is this: They treat me as though I am a family member, not a patient. I have never waited in the waiting room more than 5 minutes. The nurses/PA/and Dr. Rebuen all take time and listen to me, explain what is/was happening and what my options are/were, and helped me to find a solution to 7 months of horrible pain. The professionalism, personalization, and knowledge of this exeptional team cannot be overstated.

I am a healthy 74 year old male. Late SEP 2019 I developed severe pain and strain in my right leg - quickly became debilitating - I could not work , think, and even sleep. I realized that if I could not get this fixed, I was facing a life changing event that was not going to end well. Dr. Reuben examined all imaging; quickly concluded growing leg pain, increasing right leg weakness, and severe quality of life impacts, warranted urgent surgery - herniated disk out of position with resulting stenosis squeezing nerves in my right leg. Dr. Reuben was very organized, clear in his explanation of surgery. It was a rip-roaring success thanks to Dr. Reuben and his superb team. 3 weeks later I have recovered normal gait and stride, and physical confidence. Dr. Reuben's prompt, aggressive, and effective surgical intervention has given me my life back - and quality time for more bucket list activities! Dr. Reuben and his team have my sincerest thanks and highest recommendation. The Real Deal!

Dr Jeffery Ruben and his entire staff were outstanding in all respects. The ACDF surgery he performed at the Hilton Head Hospital went much better than I ever could have imagined. All of his surgery team from registration to surgery and to recovery made this a very, very pleasant event.

I had spine surgery 9 years ago and had a great outcome. Dr. Reuben was very caring, always explained my condition in detail at each visit. I would highly recommend him.

Awlful, awlful. Wrong surgery for diagnosis, requiring revision surgery. Terrible pain and deformity for months. Huge revision surgery needed to correct failed surgery.

Dr Rubin has successfully treated me for back pain over the years without surgery.

Don't waste your time going to this office. They make everything so complicated it takes 6/7 calls just to make an appointment!! Go see someone else!

Dr. Reuben did my c-spine surgery over 15 years ago. He was the most caring and attentive provider I had ever seen and I would highly recommend him to everyone.
