Chronic lower back problem
Dr Baron’s knowledge and explanation of how to repair my back problem was excellent and gave me the confidence to possibly proceed with surgery. Also he has an excellent support staff.

Trapezius Muscle Strain
I’ve had chronic pain in the right side of my neck for over a year. GP only RX Muscle Relaxer.. I asked for PT… First Therapist used” Micro Current”Therapy… Targeting Points in lower leg, then ear lobe. O Effective. 2nd PT Basic Neck Exercises which I’ve been doing for months… I was asking for a Direct RX Of Deximethosone Via Iontophoresis … both PT’ s balked.Dr. Barron took less than 5 minutes to Diagnose, Trapezius Muscle Strain.Ordered X-Rays. saw neck injury in Cervical Vertebrae. He Prescribed Injections of Dexamethesone and gave 3 injections to affected area.1 day later Pain is 50 percent better. He said to let RX take effect. Come back if necessary in 4 weeks. Continue exercise as pain subsides.Great Bedside Manner.

Trip and Fall
I was referred to AOI from Chi Medical Joint and Spine Center in PC, AL. I saw Dr. Looney first for my hip pain and torn labrum but he believed as much pain I was experiencing he referred me to Dr. Barron to examine my back. He was professional, friendly, showed empathy and supportive. He listened and he heard what I was saying. It became an emotional experience not expecting the trigger point injections. I do not like needles. His assistant Jessica was a wonderful jewel. She listened and console me. Dr. Barron, he confirmed some things that I already knew about my well-being and he gave me hope. I am looking forward to seeing him again in 6 weeks.

Dr. Baron is a patients doctor. An awesome doctor.
Each time I have seen and spoken with him, he listened. This is so important. He then discusses the issue. Explaining what he wants to do based on my complaint. We fully discuss the issue. At that point we reach a decision. Dr. Baron believes in taking care of his patients. He doesn't rush things. He wants patient input as to what he is going to do and why. Very unusual for a doctor. An that's why I will remain a patient of his. He Cares

Excellent Physician for Back Issues
Dr. Baron performed my spinal surgery this past December. He’s an experienced Physician, and I was confident in his skills. The surgery was successful and I knew what to expect. He explained the procedure, the after care, and the follow ups. He arrived early for the surgery and came in to see me in pre-op before the surgery (several times) to answer any last minute questions. After the surgery, I was able to contact him easily with any of my concerns. I appreciated the quick response by text and telephone. In my follow up appointments, I see his genuine concern and appreciate his guidance for continued healing. I also am pleased that he takes the time to show you your X-rays and will use a model to clarify. You leave an appointment with all your questions answered. If you need a spine doctor or surgeon, he’s the one to go to.

Set my arm
I’m currently 31, but when I was 12 years old I broke my right arm bad.(my wrist was in my hand, broke in two places from falling out a tree house). Dr Baron was the doctor I luckily interacted with, I remember him asking me “are you tough?” And I was like “yeah”. And instead of doing a surgery that would have left a lifelong scar. We opted to “set” my arm the old fashioned way. Dr. Baron rolled up a rag and I bit down on it and he went to work! It healed up and I’m so grateful all these years later. He’s an American hero and I am so lucky to have had care by this professional. Thank you Dr. Baron for your service to this country and for the opportunity of a normal life you helped me achieve.

I have had numerous fusion surgeries. I was in severe pain for 11 years. But after Dr. Baron looked at my issues and repaired my spine, God bless him, I'm doing wonderfully. If you are lucky enough to be his patient, you are one fortunate patient. Thank you Dr. Baron!!!!!!

This surgeon served in the USMC and it shows. No flowery talk, just straight honest answers about the surgery and the expected outcome. I have reason to believe he is very careful and precise in everything he does, and I believe he is very skilled. He fused my three lower vertebra and the first annual x-rays, and checkup indicates everything is perfect. If you want to be babied and soft talked find another surgeon, If you want the straight scoop and exceptioaly precise and skilled spine surgery, this should be the end of your search. I'm very sad that Tucson has lost this doctor, but I wish him well, and I know he will be a blessing to the people of your state, as he was in Arizona.

Typical overworked doctor who has no time for his patients. I saw him about a year ago, and he winked at me and dismissed me. On a recent visit (ill advised, considering my last experience), I saw his assistant who was friendly and well-meaning, but similarly unhelpful. I have periodic severe back pain, but I was given a sheet of stretches and prescription for a muscle relaxant, and sent away. Never saw the doctor, which was fine really, as I doubt it would have been in the least bit helpful. I recommend avoiding Tucson Orthopedic.

Dr Baron is a fantastic surgeon! I had previous surgery in Illinois many years ago, after wear and tear my hardware broke and in addition to new hardware being installed I needed another fusion and laminectomy. With any surgeon I think there needs to be trust and confidence, and I have the utmost of confidence in Dr Baron! He also has great listening skills and understanding. He will take time to explain things thoroughly and answer all questions. I highly recommend.

Dr Baron is a highly qualified surgeon. His practice is very busy and worth the wait for an appointment. When you are with him, he listens intently, answers questions thoroughly and walks you through diagnosis to surgery if necessary. Within months of surgical spine decompression and fusion I was off on a painless trip to Africa. He runs a tight ship professionally with a marvelous soft touch for the patient.??????????
