Stay away if you have diabetes
I saw Dr Bauman for over ten years. He is the one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. I asked him for other tests. He did not do them. He prescribed me semaglutide and raised me from .25 to 1 in a short period and crashed my weight and my hormones. I couldn't get out of bed and was depressed. When I told him about it he didn't recognize it was a symptoms of the usage of semglutide and severe weight lost . He just went into the protocol of are you depressed and do you have to go to the hospital to protect himself He doesn't understand Insulin and did not do tests such as C Peptide. I endured many years of terrible treatment. All you are is an A1c and he does not car about any of CGM and won't bother to look at it. He is head of his department and all he cars about is the $$. If he looked at my record that another doctor which would have taken 30 seconds he would have seen that 4 years ago I should have been on insulin. Don't go to him as all you are is an A1c.

Dr. Jeffrey Bauman used to be my doctor. I just want to warn people about his lack of initiative and complacency. I broke my 5th metatarsal. It was a Jone’s fracture and it was extremely slow to heal despite using a bone stimulator. I asked Dr. Bauman if this was related to my osteoporosis and he blatantly denied any connection. This was said despite my bone density showing some increase of the osteoporosis. After suffering 2 more broken bones in both feet I found a new endocrinologist who listened to my concerns and recommended several medications that would help me. She included me in the decision making and didn’t treat me like a child. Dr. Bauman might be good at treating diabetics but he certainly didn’t care or treat me properly.

worst doctor
Did do any tests unless I asked. I wasted years by him not diagnosing me. Told me that my neuropathy was not because of diabetes!

Excellent doctor
He really cares about patients. My parents have been his patients for years and they are elderly. My mom is tough to deal with because she is stubborn and he’s so excellent with her. Extremely knowledgeable and knows what he is doing !

Waited an hour for the doctor at my appointment. He kept stressing about being paid by the insurance company. After a barely normal blood test he refused to treat me OR offer alternative treatment. Basically wrote me off.

Dr. Bauman is a WONDERFUL doctor. I spent 6 months suffering from an illness nobody could figure out. In less than 20 minutes he knew what was wrong with me, and treated me for Lymes Disease which no other doctor could figure out, or treat me for. This man is a god send, and took his time to listen to me, and understand how i felt. I spent 6 months having doctors ignore me and my symptoms. This is what healthcare should be, and he is a shining example to all medical professionals. I'm forever grateful.

I have been treated by Dr. Bauman for 5 years. My rating depends on what you are looking for. If you have diabetes or something wrong with your thyroid, I think he is very proficient and caring and will help you.If you are a woman in your forties who is struggling with hormonal changes, he is not your person. As another patient review mentioned, he can be condescending and didactic. He basically delivers the same speech about “your hormones going off a cliff” without offering any advice as to how to stem the tide of aging.I have found a lot of success in having my thyroid managed by a functional wellness doctor. I have also lost weight despite being post 40. I thoroughly disagree with his assessment on supplements and vitamins. While nothing beats eating a well balanced diet, there are deficiencies that can be ameliorated with vitamins. He was also wrong in his prediction that I would be diabetic 5 years after childbirth due to my gestational diabetes. He is not open to integrative med.

While i understand that hair loss (even with normal-ish bloodwork) and stagnant weight issues are hard to diagnose, he was patronizing, and loves to hear himself preach. This Dr. knows everything about everything, including teaching me how to make a salad! He is a "holistic" favoring weight watchers fan. He preached to me as a woman that i have "Typical" female stresses/issues as a 40yr old, and should learn how to juggle and prioritize daily life with kids better! Basically, everything is my fault. But then at the end of my appt. asked if there was anything he could do for me...haha what a joke! So if this is the feeling/experience/advise you want from a Dr., then go see Dr. Bauman and his holistic, weight watchers, perfect life! Waste of time. Oh, and told me that as Society, we waste money on unnecessary vitamins, getting dooped into believing that they work. He said that my multi was useless and so was my b-complex pill. And still, no vitamin hair loss-why i made the appt.

Have been working with him for about 10 yrs, you wont find a better endocronoligist. Enjoy frustrating him, I dont take meds for Diabetes, but have been able with his advice to get my A1C down & keep it there. Some years ago he wrote a paper on me and sent it to the Group, for people to see if you follow Drs recommendations & work with his Diatision you can leve well with Diabetes without meds. Explains fully all Labs, spends ample time with each patient . Appoints are easy to get, office staff

Recently saw this doc for nodular goiter of the thyroid. He was excellent, Listened intently, explained everything fully and had an excellent manner for putting me at ease as he was about to stick two separate needles in my neck to biopsy the nodules. He was great. I watched the ultrasound guided biopsies and then reviewed the before and after with him. Can't say enough good things about him!

I have been seeing Dr. Bauman for about six years to monitor a thyroid nodule. He is one of the few doctors that I have met who is quietly caring, eminently professional, and answers all questions in a forthright and clear manner. I find his bedside manner to be suitable for my personality (the anxious type). As soon as he walks in I feel calmer and confident that he will help me make the right decision. I consider him an integral part of my health, and even a friend.

He was cocky, arrogant, rude and 0 bedside manner. I wonder if he talks to his staff and family they way he does patients. I will NEVER give my $50 copay to this doctor. No respect for me as a person or tries to accommodate my needs into the treatment of my endocrine issue.

I had an appointment with Dr. Bauman today. He is an endocrinologist and has a certification in endocrine neck ultrasounds. He performed an ultrasound guided neck biopsy to rule out thyroid cancer. He explained everything to me in laymen's terms so that I could understand and feel at ease. He has a great bedside manner and is very reassuring. I would highly recommend him.
