Refused my request for an appointment
Made an appointment for a concern I had. He instructed the nurse to call me the morning of my appointment and tell me to go to the ER. I informed her there was no emergency, but she was adamant that i go to the ER. Refused to see me. BIG waste of ER resources, cost me out of pocket for ER...nothing could be done, since there was no emergency. NO follow up from Dr. Christenson.

Doesn’t listen
Explain that I am unable to swallow large pills, so he calls it a refusal. I asked what do I do for the pain..his response…go to ER.

Very unpersonable
He is very rude during appointments, specifically that he has a microphone and will dictate notes for himself while you're right there in the room with him. It's quite off-putting, one example is I had asked him about my mental health, his immediate response is to suggest I take pills to which I responded that isn't necessary and I only wish to talk with someone, he then dictated something to the effect of "patient refuses medication". I will be seeking a new primary.

BEWARE....WARNING.....DO NOT GO HERE Dr. Christiansen's lack of attention to detail. Lack of analyzing health risk. Led to the death of my husband. With several indications of heart problems, the heart was never checked. At the age of 36 my husband died of a heart attack out of the blue. A simple EKG at his physical what is showing a problem. The warning signs were ignored, the EKG was never performed, the excuse being that's not something that is normally done with someone under the age of 40. apparently when you have a long list of warning signs you still don't do it in his book. So if a physical so he could attend karate classes was incomplete. And he was dead months later..

Doctor Christianson was the only doctor who ever took my mothers health condition(s) seriously. she had multiple medical issues in the 6 or 8 years that he was her primary care Physician. Mom was a hard woman to please and she had problems with just about all of her doctors, but never had any problems with Dr Christianson. Not one. She loved the guy and always thought she was receiving the best care possible. i also felt he was very good to her. she had a couple of primary care doctors after him who never took her seriously. Mom recently passed on and i'm just writing this here because i know she would want to say a good word for Dr Christianson. Thanks for being there for my mother Doc.
