Dr. Jeffrey Cook, MD

My son just turned 17 a week ago and when Dr cook walked into room began almost yelling at me that he was due for vaccine he should have had at 16 years old. We waited 4 months for this appt. He would not let me speak and said get it now or I am not even talking to you today. I was in shock and just said that’s fine good bye. My son was in tears. The staff was amazing but Cook is terrible. Never again

All three of my children see Dr. Cook. My youngest is 1 and my oldest is 12. He’s great with all ages. He never rushes, always answers all questions we have, and the kids love him!

My children have been patient at Atrium since we moved here. We were very happy with their previous Pediatrician at Atrium. We had to establish care with Jeffrey Cook when we moved to Gastonia, and it was a disaster. In our first visit with my 7-year-old son, Dr. Cook was totally rude and unprofessional. My son has some vaccines due that he insisted that we get him all today or find another doctor. I asked him to split them into two appointments rather as I did not want him to be injected with four needles on a single day, but he was very confrontational and refused to do so. He raised his voice in front of my 7-year-old boy which is totally unacceptable from a pediatrician.Also to point out, this was not the only occasion he had been confrontational and disrespectful. Previously also, his clinic booked my son to establish care and when we showed up, he refused to see him, and we were told to come back when he is actually sick. Looks like he has no idea how to run a clinic.
