Dr Deckey saved my ability to walk! Yes you may have to wait but that is because he takes all the time you need to get questions answered. Mine was a complicated spinal surgery but the outcome was awesome!

Dr. Deckey opened the nerve passages and fused three vertebrae together in my wife’s lower back. She had 1 disk that had completely collapsed and the 2 next to it weren’t so good either. Before the surgery my wife was dragging a leg with numbness and a lot of pain radiating to her hip and down the leg. She was really having a tough time. She was in a lot of pain, had to stop going to yoga and even taking a short walk with our dogs was difficult. The surgery was 5 months ago and we are pleased to report a huge improvement. Her back, hip and legs now feel almost normal. She goes to yoga 3 times a week and takes 2 mile walks with 2 dogs everyday. The surgery is not easy though. The first 2 weeks are really hard. Then the next month is tough too but it’s all been worth it. 5 stars for Dr. Deckey and his staff! Dr. Deckey is a pro.

Dr. Deckey is an amazing person, not only an incredible surgeon and doctor. He went above and beyond and something didn't sit with him about my husband's MRI. Over the weekend, he had his own radiologist read it and it confirmed a staph infection in his spine and his bloodstream. Most doctor's would have just read the report and looked at it, but he knew something wasn't right. We are beyond grateful to him! And he did an incredible job on the surgery and everyone involved at the Hoag Orthopedic Institute was top notch and went above and beyond. I think they only hire the best!

It's been 4 weeks since massive back surgery and my back feels GREAT! Much stronger than before and my previous back pain is gone. Every person I came in contact with at the hospital said Dr. Deckey is the best. My anesthesiologist told me before my surgery if he were to ever need back surgery Dr. Deckey would be his surgeon. My back looks amazing so straight and the huge hump is gone. Dr. Deckey deserves nothing less than a perfect rating. I read through his ratings and reviews online and all the 5 star reviews are regarding his surgical outcomes. Then you have the 1 star because people are upset they had to wait 1 or 2 hours for their appointment. I am telling you right now Dr. Deckey is worth it! So do yourself a favor if you have an appointment and take the morning or afternoon off. Actually take the entire day off that way you don't have to get upset if it takes a while to see him. Dr. Deckey is the absolute best.

Dr Deckey listened to me, explained everything I was suffering from, and implemented two surgeries to correct my Degenerative Disc Disease. I had 4 cervical fusions first. Recovered from that and immediately had a Lumbar fusion and repai if 5 discs. His staff was respectful, helpful and addressed my concerns. He gave me a miracle, I am 66 years old and grateful!

I went to see Dr. Deckey almost a year ago for a second opinion. I was working with another doctor and I was not happy with the level of attention they were putting toward getting me healed. Dr. Deckey performed a replacement/fuse surgery on my L5/S1 in Feb. 2020. It has not been 8 months since surgery and I feel great. I am amazed by the mobility that I have as well as being 100% pain free. I would recommend Dr. Deckey to my closets friends and family.

Dr. Decky has been a really great Surgeon, He has performed 2 Cervical Surgeries on me and did a really great job. He love doing Surgeries and that is one of the reasons he is so good. After surgery , not so much, I had Surgery a year ago April, and I called his office and left messages 3 time today, and used the Patient Portal Account to send an email to him, his office ask me to contact another spine doctor as ask him to give me a prescription. I would not have minded having another doctor take over the prescriptions if I had been ask, but I was not ask. I have an appointment scheduled with his assistant next week, so you can see they are willing to take my money for appointment, but not providing after Surgery Support.

Dr. Deckey performed a lumbar fusion on me in January of 2017. My chronic pain is gone and I'm able to do almost everything. I'm 68 so I think it's a miracle. Very grateful for him and his associates.

Do not go to this doctor or this office. No care for patients and impossible to get a call back from ANYONE there. Waited 1.5 hrs to see doctor only to see PA. He pulled up someone else's xrays (scary) which I had to correct him on. Sent down hall for more xrays. Finally see Dr. Decky after another 45 minutes who didn't want to give me the time of day to see what was wrong or how I was feeling, exam me or anything. Left with a MRI referral I needed to question. 3 calls, no answers!

Dr. Deckey began seeing me in 2004. He worked with me four years before my first 5-level cervical fusion. A few years later a 5-level lumber fusion was required, followed up with a 5-level fusion above the lumber. Dr. Deckey has kept me up-right and walking. He has treated me with respect, compassion, and remarkable skill. His staff, from the front office, to the PA, and Carmen have been nothing but excellent for these years. I'm suffering again, I look forward to seeing the Dr. in 3/2018

He was great now I have to get an appointment for Monday morning on Monday morning. Everything has been good. Deckey is straight to the point and answers all your question forward. I like him a lot. I don’t like a lot of doctors but like I said I like this guy.

Dr. Deckey is the best spine surgeon in Orange County. You are in excellent hands. It is normal to be apprehensive, but my operation solved 10 years of back pain. If he says surgery will help you, believe him and trust him and his staff! They are all great people. I am 100% happy with the procedure.

started my research I believe I found the best at his profession in Orange county as well as the surrounding counties. That was Dr. Jeffery Deckey. He & his staff opened me up 4 times in 5 years. twice in 2013 and twice in 2017. I feel if I had gone to any other surgeon I would most likely be dead. Praise is difficult for me but when it is truly disserved it comes easy. Jeff, I can't say enough. I feel I've come to know you, Dan and Dan's counterpart well and you are all good people. Excellent surgeon. Spine Specialist. Only performs surgeries if he feels he can provide a good outcome. Had surgery on lower spine last year with a great outcome now need to see him for my neck. Not excited about this but an excellent surgeon that I can highly recommend.

Arrived for my appointment to find he was not in and his staff didn't bother to call and tell me. They schedule me the next day. Everyone was doubled booked. It took 4 hours past my appointment to see me. He spent less than 2 minutes with me. His staff is inconsiderate of patients time. His office is chaotic and I can't imaging waiting to see him for HOURS after surgery. Maybe he is a good surgeon but how he runs his office is awful.

I have to wait for more that three hours each time I go there, only to see his assistant for five minute. I dont want to say Dr. Dickey is not a good doctor, simply he doesn't have time to see one more patient.

The first time i had to wait 2 hours to see Deckey then he comes in and I only get 5 minutes with him. Second time, I waited 3 hours to see him then he leaves the office without seeing me & notifying me. He is unprofessional and incompetent. Go somewhere else.

Struggled with lower back for so many years went to many doctors but none of them I was able to feel comfortable at letting them to perform surgery lower back fusion until I met Dr.Deckey .He is amazing , his knowledge, his compassion and caring go beyond expected.my surgery was a100% success haven't feel this great in many many years . I highly recommend him

Make your appointment early in he morning. Perpetually late but definenetly worth the wait.
