Dr. Jeffrey Defrancisco, MD

I have followed him from mercy to Iowa Clinic! He’s smart and knows his stuff I’m a nurse and picked him because he’s great with his patients!!

I’ve been seein Jeff for several years and he has seen me go through many life changing health issues. After a recent stroke he was able to help me lose over 100 pounds I had gained. He’s been the best doctor I’ve ever had! Very knowledgeable and straightforward with any questions or issues you have. I used to hate going to the doctor but the past 11 years he’s gained my trust and would never see anybody else. Super nice guy with a great sense of humor. A real mans man!!

Dr. Defrancisco always took time to listen, and was always straight-forward in his analysis and assessment of my medical concerns. His treatment recommendations started with the conservative, and only moved to more intense when he was convinced that it was necessary. He was obviously very bright, but also understood the necessity to speak to the patient on their terms, so that I had a good understanding of what was wrong, why I was seeing it, and why we were taking the treatment course that we were.

Great doctor known him since 2004. He helped detect my Multiple Myeloma when it relapsed through a simple urine test , he found there was an abnormality as where my cancer doctors said everything looked fine prior to his appointment! He is to the point and has a good sense of humor,but at the same time he knows I’m a dork anyway! His early detection of my cancer probably extended my life a few extra years!

An all around outstanding doctor who deserves every ounce of praise I can manage. Pick a positive word — Defrancisco probably fits it. I’ve never had a bad experience with him and I always know he’ll have my back if something arises. Compassionate, knowledgeable, and funny too. Another reviewer hit the nail on the head — he’s like talking to an old friend (who also happens to solve your medical problems!).

He never makes me feel hurried. He has a great sense of humor. I have never looked forward to a doctor appointment until one with Dr. DeFrancisco. It is like seeing a good friend a few times a year. He always answers all my questions and I never have to wait.

Dr DeFran has been primary physician for over a decade and I have nothing but praise for him. He is a kind and compassionate doctor who listens, explains all options and treats with scientific common sense. I leave his office each time feeling like the most important patient.

lukewarm, answers were like band aids...nothing concrete that I felt comfortable with. Switching doctors for next time.
