Dr. Jeffrey Dobyns, MD

Dobyns was going to just cast me after a major accident. The ER doctor was furious when they heard that, letting Dobyns know I needed surgery. Dobyns then referred me to a doctor who could not help me because they were a foot and ankle doctor and I needed an orthopedist. My surgery was delayed for months, mostly in part because of insurance, but when I was finally referred to UCI the doctor there said that Dobyns didn't specialized in this kind of surgery and he should have referred me directly to UCI.I wouldn't go to him unless what you have is a simple break, I suppose.

Dr Dobyns performed acl surgery on both my teenage boys and did a great job. We are very happy with the results!

Dr. Dobyn’s did my arthroscopic knee surgery. For the first time in three years I am able to run without pain.

Dr Dobyn’s is amazing. He was wonderful with my daughter. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to pediatric orthopedics. He made my daughter feel comfortable and was able to explain everything to her so that she could understand “that’s not easy to do with a 12 year old. He took an interest in her sport and spent a great deal of time talking to her about it. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a wonderful orthopedic surgeon!!

I would give this man 0 stars if I could! With the results on a computer screen right in front of him, he asked if I had the test he ordered. He contradicted himself at least 3 times in 15 minutes, & in a series of at lest 6 x-rays, he looked at only 1. If you are overweight, he will not be able to see past it. He is ignorant, unwilling to learn, uncaring, egotistic, & downright rude! He has absolutely no bedside manner or compassion. Please stay away from this quack!

I'v been a patient of Dr Dobyns for two total anterior hip replacements. The operationes where three years apart. Dr Dobyns is one of the few doctors that do an anterior approach when possible. This way is much less damaging to the muscles as they are not cut, the healing time is less then half the time. Dr. Dobyns & I have a great relationship. He is alway straight up with me & his sense of humor I truly appreciate. He is to the point, no mucking about. Both my hip replacements went perfectly!

Agree with most of the reviews I have seen. This doctor does not like his job. Spends less than 10 minutes with you and in my first visit he was out the door before I was! He quickly diagnosed me without real evidence and sent me packing to physical therapy. I am still to this day in extreme pain and now have to go to the ER because of a lazy non-caring doctor.

Horrible doctor and needs to retire has he very obviously hates what he's doing. He should not be allowed in any hospital, to treat any person or speak to anyone. He's truly the worst doctor we've ever encountered. For a special hospital like CHOC to allow such a nasty, incompetent person to work there does not speak well for them at all.

His great except for his staff they messed up My appointment by 45min and to top it off I get here and they tell Me his an hour behind they didn't even bother to call me to let me know that ., best believe they have the time to call. Very un professional.

Dr. Dobyns has now repaired to major injuries for me. A really torn up shoulder and a knee. He is an amazing doctor with a great sense of humor.
