No help
Cold. Just prescribed, no real suggestions or solutions. Gave me info to get prescribed medical Marijuana, then acted like it was shameful to use it when I asked questions after recieving it. Shouldn't a prescribing doctor know about what and how to use something they prescribe? Kept saying 'let's see how you feel when you come back in 6 weeks'. Useless

Dr. Friedman & Staff
I’ve been seeing Dr.Friedman:Christine (now Hayley) for about it 6 years. I was paralyzed in a car accident with an incomplete spinal cord injury at C-5/C-6. Incomplete meaning that I feel everything, I just can’t move. Every single nerve in my body is out for vengeance. I have an electrical shock type pain from the waist down. In every nerve. So each nerve in my body feels like they’re being shocked ( while they are running up and down each leg, each foot and each toe. ) I was seeing the Penn Pain team for 2 years. Bad move. All non narcotic herbal bs. Found Dr. Friedman. He listened, spent over and hour with me and put me on a new regime. Even though I will always have daily pain 6/10–I am no longer at a 10/10.. Dr. Friedman may not have the best bed side manner..at all..but he cares deeply for his patients and is always there when you need him. His staff hasn’t always been the best, but for at least the past 3 years, they ROCK.. give them a chance… You won’t be sorry.

No empathy for the patient, horrible bedside manner. Melanie and Christine in their office are the sweetest despite the leadership. I would go somewhere else where the leader of the practice has some tact.

I have been very satisfied with Dr Friedman, I’m giving a 5 just to him. He found a medication that has helped me with a problem I’ve had for over 2 years. I’ve seen numerous specialists over 2 years with no relief. Dr Friedman has been excellent about explaining everything & about letting me be a part of the decision making process. For the most part he has been on time & spends ample time during visits. I have found his staff to be unsatisfactory. I have called several times without anyone picking up, I’ve been put on hold for 20-25 minutes without anyone picking up, I’ve left several messages & no return calls & one of the staff has been very argumentative when I talked with her about a problem with a medication - totally unnecessary, unacceptable behavior. On 2 occasions I decided to go to the office so I could speak to someone in person to get my questions answered. There seems to be an adequate number of staff but they do a VERY POOR job of taking care of the patients.

Excellent. I trust Dr. Friedman. He is the only doctor who I have seen who really listens and doesn’t just throw meds at my symptoms. He is trained in multiple pain management modalities and takes time to explain them all. He is compassionate and caring and I believe him when he says I won’t have this pain forever. I also have never had an issue with his office staff. They are very busy but they always get back to me.

Dr. Friedman was the only Dr. in a trail of 13 physicians that actually performed a thorough physical evaluation for a differential diagnosis rather than staring at an MRI or making statements like "you have an unusual constellation of symptoms." He is smart, refers to the best neurosurgeons or neurologists, and orders diagnostic testing as necessary. He has outstanding hands for pinpointing sources of pain ands is excellent with a needle. I would have taken a bullet if not for him.

As someone with severe Rheumatoid disease, I have been a patient of this practice for more than ten years. Dr. Friedman is an excellent pain management physician. He is willing to offer alternative therapies such as dry needling. The entire practice is excellent. They have given me my life back.

He's fine.Communication with the office, awful!!!! My new patient info I filled out was tedious.I emailed it back, when I arrived they said I'd have to fill it out again because they can't get emails from gmail accounts, they should have said that when emailing it to a gmail account!!! Then the doc called in a very expensive med, my pharmacist & I called and emailed from a different email to no avail to have it changed, 6 weeks.I canceled my follow up appt & on my voicemail now, reminder for appt
