Dr.Fronza is professional and friendly. Two other surgeons told me they couldn’t do my complex hernia repair. Dr Fronza was very confident he could. He is an amazing and gifted surgeon. I am so thankful and grateful that he took care of me.

'LEFT BACK SKIN (PERMANENT)'
He didn't want to do the surgery, I insisted and he went ahead with it. It was at a VA in front of medical students. I'll never forget him saying to me in front of everyone while I was face down on the table before he cut me, 'This is what you get when you're persistent!' He made sure to leave a nice scar. I'm still haunted by that day.

Everything a Top-Notch MD/Surgeon should be
I have been fortunate enough to be under Dr. Fronza's expert care since March 2023. With each visit / procedure he is consistently thorough, kind, patient and quick to respond via direct email to all of my questions. Dr. Fronza has operated on me both at NM and Central DuPage. I needed another surgery and decided it was worth the hour drive to stay in his care when he changed locations. While my condition is frustrating, I have total peace of mind in knowing Dr. Fronza is so skilled with cases like mine.Beyond the medical condition of his patients, he truly is interested in the persons he treats. It's rare to have a doctor treat patients like people instead of just cases. Dr. Fronza could/ should write a course for med students on superior bedside manner. If you're referred to Dr. Fronza for any surgical procedure, know you've hit the surgeon lottery. He is THE doc you want. I'll be forever grateful for his quick life-saving actions and ongoing advocacy on my behalf.

A caring and compassionate doctor!
Dr. Fronza took great care of me in a time of a personal health emergency. It could have ended with a different outcome, but Dr. Fronza moved mountains to make sure I received top-notch care. I am forever grateful to this wonderful doctor. Highly recommend!

Myself and my family cannot strongly enough recommend Dr. Jeff Fronza for GI care. He is patient, calm, caring, and always an advocate for the patient and family. He provides clear explanations and he is an outstanding surgeon that can be fully trusted.

Don’t go to him he nearly killed me
He appears concerned dyeing the 1at visit but did not give any information on the required surgery even with my questions. I had a surgery date a week later that kept getting changed. I went in for a hital hernia, esophagus repair and baratic surgery do to my stomach not working well. I later learned for the baratic surgery you were supposed to meet with others and start the diet you would be following the rest of your life at least one month before surgery. I had nothing. No information on how I would have to eat the rest of my life. He preformed the surgery, sent me to recovery and called my friend I was done and did great. 5 minutes later I coded and was rushed back to surgery where I coded again. Turn out he cut my spleen which had to be removed and I ended up on a ventilator for a little over a week. I would make sure you demand all information on the procedures he is doing not just a few sentences on how well you’d feel when it’s done.

I recently had surgery with Dr. Jeffrey Fronza. He refuses to take phone calls—only emails. Post-op he is unresponsive to his patient’s problems or progress. Acting upon personal experience, I cannot with a clear conscience recommend this physician.

I do not like this doctor. I don't believe he does a good job. I think he is clueless in many ways. Just because he says he can do the surgery, doesn't mean he can or that you will have a good outcome.

Dr. Fronza is amazing. I had a Laparoscopic Bilateral Inguinal Hernia Repair (with meshes) surgery back in January 2021 and everything went well for me. It's now been 8 months after the surgery and I have had no issues and no pain. Both of my hernia bumps disappeared. I was back to normal activities only a couple of weeks after surgery, and then working out again with weights 4 weeks after surgery. The scars are minimal because it was a laparoscopic surgery. This is credit to Dr. Fronza and his surgical team. He was also very attentive during my pre-op and post-op appointments, allowing me to go through my extensive list of questions.

One of the best doctors I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Easily explained the different treatment options, including anesthetic options, so as to have a confident grasp that the procedure was tailored to my needs (in this case, a mesh free inguinal hernia repair). Highly recommend this competent surgeon.

This doctor should not be practicing surgery and should be sent into another profession. It's a tragedy that he is still claiming he can do successful surgery because he is incompetent.

My primary physician recommended Dr. Fronza to me for some long-overdue general surgery, and from the first consultation, his personable manner and professional confidence dispelled any apprehensions I harbored. He explained clearly three different ways to approach the problem I presented with, one of which, I was surprised to learn, was a less well-known technique that I had read about and was interested in pursuing. He responded to my questions before surgery, checked with me before beginning the operation, and explained at the follow-up visit how the incision would heal and what to expect in subsequent weeks. Dr. Fronza’s assistant was exceptionally welcoming from my first call to the office, and his team at Northwestern Hospital could not have been more professional and caring. I am happy to be able to recommend Dr. Fronza and his colleagues without qualification.

Dr. Fronza performed a Linx procedure for me. He was extremely personable and was the first physician to make ne feel like my reflux issues were insignificant. My operative and post operative ch e experiences were very positive and the quality my life 6 weeks postop has changed for the good so much. Recommend very highly.

I don't like to be dramatic but this lack of follow up through phone calls after surgery here was ridiculous. NO phone calls were made even though I was in great pain. Surgery was a debacle. Horrible surgery, horrible follow up and terrible life due to lack of medical skills. You should be ashamed of yourself.
