Dr. Jeffrey Gorwit, MD

Very good and also taken seriously. I was admitted with Wallenberg syndrome on September 2, 1996 due to an APC resistance of 1.34. I am married and have 2 adult daughters 27 and 24 who have a value of 1.92.

Very personable, knowledgeable, easy to talk with. Skilled. I like Dr. Gorwit alot, he's very attentive and caring, but he doesn't candy coat. I feel very comfortable putting my health care in his hands.

December 23 I was suffering from chronic chest pains. Ended up needing a quintuple bypass. The thoracic surgeon worked late into the night to accomplish the task. The next day, and Chrismas day, ( Dr Gorwit) came to my room to update me on the surgery and my prognosis. Very positive, upbeat and committed.

In June my 84yr old mom had exam with Dr Gorwit. She was having an acute hypertensive episode. He prescribed a new different drug. She had severe side effects. Called Dr’s office next day, a different drug was prescribed. She continued to have high blood pressure and side effects (vertigo, nausea, body pains, unable to sleep) after taking new drugs. She went in for a echocardiogram. On the 7th day of high blood pressure and side effects sleeplessness, talked to Dr on the phone. He denied side effects were due to the drugs he prescribed. He said he “prescribed them to everyone and no one has these side effects”. He wanted me to bring her in to see him. At this point, I said goodbye. Not only could my mom hardly walk to the bathroom, but it was clear that Dr Gorwit was not going to be helpful. We have yet to recieve results of echocardiogram after two months.

He's a great Physician. I would highly recommend him to everyone.

Doctor Gorwit did a tremendous job analyzing my condition and getting a great surgeon to do my quadruple bypass

Dr Gorwit was able to see me for blood pressure clearance on my upcoming eye surgeries. There wasn't a lot of time, and I appreciate his willingness to squeeze me into his busy schedule, and take the time to explain his findings during my exam.
