Felt rushed and brushed off
After waiting almost a year getting up the nerve to see a doctor, Dr. Knispel barely looked at my skin, just ageeing it was an allergy and told me what over the counter antihistamines to use. Research showed it could be a vitamin deficiency or homonal, but no discussion of a blood test or other options. He only said I could get monthly shots if it gets worse. No offer of finding a cause. Felt very rushed and disappinted.

Nice enough doctor and much more pleasant than another I saw.Quick appointment and I hope everything was observed. My complaint is about what patients go through calling this office. I was offended the cosmetic commercials playing in the exam room while one has a rather serious skin condition to deal with and the commercials I listened to while waiting 15 minutes for my call to be answered ---twice.

Very thorough and nice bedside manner.
We saw Dr Knispel for a total body scan. He spent time looking at many moles and spots and was the only doctor to feel my husband's lymph nodes under his arms and in the neck area. He was very patient, asked questions, asked if there were any specific spots he wanted checked, respected his privacy and overall was cautious but not alarming. Will see him in 6 months.

Poor experience
The appointment felt rushed. Did not want to allow time for me to speak. Barely looked at my face for the rash. Prescribed 3 medications without telling me any FDA alerts for them which one includes skin cancer and to be used as a last resort after tying other lotions, which this was the first option and nothing else used yet. Paced around the room and made me feel uneasy. Very confusing.

Dr. Knispel is a great doctor. He is thorough and patient. He takes the time to get to know you and your family, and when there were some issues, he went above and beyond to help my family through them! Highly recommend!!!

We saw Dr. Knispel for the 2nd time yesterday because he has quite an impressive background. I was anything but impressed with his consultations. Both times he was very rushed and doesn't even let you get a word in. I had many questions and he continued to speak over me and dismiss them without even letting me finish. The kicker is that he barely looked at my son's raised rash, and these are his words: "I don't know what that it is, it can be anything. Try some cream." What a waste!!

Dr. Knispal is a very knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. He is a very good listener and always makes me feel that my opinion is important to him. I have been seeing him in the Ridgefield office for a couple years. The office staff is very nice and I love the ease of scheduling appointments in Ridgefield. I will recommend that my general practitioner refer her clients there, also.

My experience was horrible. My daughter was turned away because a parent wasn't present at the appointment. I was told when the appointment was made that the care giver could bring her with an insurance card, a note from me and proper paperwork completed. What a disappointment. When speaking with the office manager she was completely rude and disrespectful.
