Dr. Lombard. Largo Med
Hesitant to go to Largo Med. Dr. Lombard operated today on my daughter in law and FIXED a mess another Dr. up north did to her. He was absolutely wonderful, kind, and “got her Done”. Highly recommend this Urologist!

Former patient
Absolutely terrible experience with this clinic. Staff is non responsive with phone calls. Appointments are always rushed. Doctor doesn’t seem to care. Doesn’t follow thru with referrals and calls from other clinics to follow up go unanswered. Not a great way to run an office!!!!

Office-Not responding
Not so good experience with his office. He nust be losing a lot of patients with their inability to call people back. No one answers the extension you press for appointments and they do not call you back. It's been 3 days now getting ghosted by their voicemail. I guess I going to have to get in the car again to make an appointment for my husband. I remember I had to do this the first time we went to see him after he treatd him in the hospital. Good thing he's not in severe pain this time. Ugh!

I needed major surgery I didn’t want. Dr Lonbard was so patient to explain why. In the end, walking out I looked confused— he brought me back in the office and talked to me more. My last doctor told me I needed an operation and walked out of the room!! I had the operation and need some follow-up and dr Lombard is first one I thought of!!

The doctor is out on vacation.
I have been going to Dr. Lombard for years. Finally, I have given up. There is no bedside manner or calls with results of tests he sends you for. I had kidney stones removed this past summer. He told me about five years ago that I had them and I assumed he was watching them. Instead, I became incontinent and had infections. He kept giving me samples to take. Recently I had the kidneys scanned. I called after so many weeks of not hearing from him to be told I need another scan with contrast to determine if they were cancerous. Again no phone call and I called weeks later to be told he was on vacation. Well after years of going there I am taking a permanent vacation from him.

I am a retired firefighter/paramedic and my wife is an RN, who worked with Dr Lombard as an Intern. There isn't enough room for me to say enough good things about Doc. With his insistence and my reluctance, he probably saved my life, or at least improved the quality, when he insisted on a biopsy two years in a row and I thought it unnecessary. I have been through several surgeries w/Dr. Lombard. I moved away from the Largo area 25 years ago but still drive the 5 hours round trip to see the best Urologist that I or my wife have ever met. We also appreciate Bobbie and the rest of his staff who are very professional and helpful.

HORRIBLE bedside manner. Waited 45 minutes before he barged in without knocking and stayed less than 3 minutes. Mask over mouth only in the age of COVID which is medically useless. No greeting at all, no “hi how are you” or “what brings you in”. Proceeded to have me strip unnecessarily after it turns out he could have just verbally run through everything. No time for questions, not that I could have thought of any after a surprise strip and poke, just ushered me out and told me to schedule the procedure. Certainly felt more like a quick buck than a valued patient.

The office appointments were running late. A patient was scolded after he saw Dr because of late arrival which made everyone else wait. When it was finally my brother's turn first nurse started rushing him to give a sample and said they couldn't wait because "they didn't have time". When he was taking too long to prepare for a procedure that the Dr decided to do, because he had to then use the bathroom , the second nurse came in and said he'd have to reschedule and use the bathroom in the waiting room because they "needed that room." She was very rude and humiliated my brother. We asked the first nurse and then the receptionist to let him keep this appointment. Both said "no, you need to reschedule." My brother comes from an assisted living with a lot of effort and planning for pre arranged transportation. They knew this! If it wasn't for Dr Lombard being a good doctor who is caring and professional, this would be a 1 star. I wrote to the office manager a week ago hoping to avoid this.

I've had the pleasure of working in the medical field for 23 years, and in that time I have met thousands of doctors from nearly every field - and Dr Lombard truly represents the culmination of all the good and wisdom, in all of them. No not merely the best doctor I have ever met, moreover one of the finest, most compassionate and intelligent human beings I have ever had the honor of not only calling my doctor, but indeed my friend. Doctor Lombard is not only the most skilled of urological specialists there is to be found worldwide, but even more so, one of our very finest human beings and community members.

He's a super star in my book! I've been seeing urologists(5) for almost 20 years now and Dr. Lombard is the Michael Jordan by far among any doctor I've ever known. His office staff also kick a** and know whats going on and what it takes to make things happen. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff! GOOD JOB! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! I had an initial visit with Dr. Lombard in February, 2017 and was totally impressed with his professionalism, courtesy, knowledge, concern, and the time he spent with me. He took interest in my prior treatment for prostate cancer by proton beam therapy which is not a commonly accepted treatment in urology and discussed a previously unknown treatment for ED that I was unfamiliar with, also providing a script for it. A totally favorable experience.
