I appreciate his willingness to spend so many years in becoming a very competent cardiac surgeon! I lucked out in getting him as my heart surgeon!

Dr. McNeil was extremely kind and compassionate as he explained to my 83 year old mother that she had to have open heart surgery. He explained all the details about her mitral valve having to be repaired in a way that helped her not be terrified. He is a special doctor and one of the best we have ever met.

Things that stood out. On my 1st consultation the staff were so loud and bussing jokes behind the door it was difficult to focus on the things Dr McNeil was explaining. Next after my surgery was completed Dr. McNeil didn't check on me after the procedure. Mind you I was in the hospital for a few days. Other Doctors that worked with him did come by but he never showed. Lastly on my last consultation I left super upset. Not bc of the news from the test results. But how Dr.McNeil wouldn't really explain information on my test results. I had to ask questions while it felt like he kept pushing me out the door. Dr. McNeil only wanted me to speak to another specialist. It's the 1st time in my life that I felt like the physician whom was supposed to be concerned about my welfare as a patient had zero cares about me as a person bc their surgical work was done. And to top it off his work wasn't the great just OK bc my stitching is not strait so my scars will be more noticable.

Very nice, very reassuring. Explains things well and answered all my questions. I will feel safe with him operating on my heart.

Dr McNeil provided outstanding medical care to my mom. She is 80 years old and needed bypass surgery. He answered all our questions and concerns about the procedure patiently. Surgery went exceptionally well and mom is recovering and doing so much better. His staff and team is also very competent and caring. Highly recommend Dr McNeil.

Dr. McNeil has an invaluable talent of bringing ease to a very stressful situation. He quickly alleviated my family and I’s concerns about new diagnosis that required major heart surgery. Hard to say personable and surgeon in the same sentence, about the same person, but here he is. In the 10 months Dr. McNeil has been treating me I have grown to fully trust him and his staff. If you allow yourself to do the same, you can breathe easy about your surgery and after care, and worry more about what you are going to serve at your next party or what movie you want to see. He listens. He explains. He treats. He cares.
