2nd opinion
I was sent here for a 2nd opinion by my LEAVES DEPT. and I wasn't able to get my medical records in time for the visit. So I go and he sits down and just starts asking me questions about my injury. My injury occurred back in 2015 mind you so I'm only able to give him details such as how the injury occured and the surgery that I had but I didn't have the MRI to give him or any X rays. So after about 20min of questions he hap hazardly starts to examine my shoulder for about 30sec asks where it hurts and sends me on my. I get an email 2weeks later stating according to doctor (I use this term very loosely when it comes to him) schiffman I don't need my FMLA. So now I can see why my LEAVES DEPT. sent me to him. All about the $$$$!!!

Many years ago, Dr. Shiffman removed ALL the cartilage in my ankle joint! I was 29 years old. That was in a 2nd surgery that he said “he would want his wife or sister have” so they wouldn’t walk with a limp. For my 3rd surgery with a renown ankle specialist (Chargers Ortho Guy!) he questioned why all my cartilage was gone and diagnosed Degenerative Joint Disease. I ended up with an ankle fusion to end the 20+ hours of daily pain and using a cane to walk with at 30 years old. Avoid this man!

This doctor has a condescending attitude and does not seem to care about patients. His bedside manner is terrible.

While Dr Schifmann was helpful in determining my back issue and suggesting the proper course of action, I will not recommend due to office inefficiencies. I was assured more than once that my visits were covered by my insurance and they have now submitted a claim to a collection agency. THIS IS NONSENSE AND NO WAY TO DO BUSINESS.

Dr Schiffman treated my back injury a while ago. I'm living in another state and finally get answers to what's going on. I had 2 surgeries. 1 I needed and the second one, I wish I never had it.
