Dr. Jeffrey Taxman, MD

Dr. Taxman is the most brilliant psychiatrist I have come to know. I wouldn't be here without him. I think there are a lot of things people do not know about his work 'behind the scenes.' He works with disaster relief and is well known internationally. I love his down to earth approach where his genius is grounded and not intimidating at all.

Dr Taxman is incredibly intuitive and has the ability the get to know his patients in a non judge mental and empathetic and very honest way (tells it how it is but in a compassionate way). He does this by actually listening and asking the right questions. He got me on the right meds for my mild bi polar disorder. I also suffer from anxiety and depression due to past childhood trauma and an abusive relationship. I decided to not only see him for medication but I met with him several times after as my primary therapist as I connected with him more than any other therapist I’ve ever had (I’ve been in and out of therapy for 30 years). I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Taxman and I truly believe he helped give me my life back! In addition, he’s s staff has gone above and beyond to help me several times with calling my pharmacy to make sure my meds were straightened out. They also have helped me when I struggled and called crying trying to juggle to get me in sooner!!

He was the first professional I ever saw and I left with nothing but trauma. I stopped seeing him a few years ago and recently had my first flashback to being in his office which resulted in a panic attack. My current psychologist is appalled by the behavior and commentary he would exhibit when I was a patient of his. I would never recommend him to anyone and would advise you to seek help with literally anyone else you can find.

Outstanding professional and person in every way. Compassionate and caring, but always honest. Excellent listener and responder. Evokes instant rapport and patient trust which always continues and increases over time. Is a genius at helping the patient to discover and resolve problems in and between sessions Excellent at allowing patient to go outside comfort zone and really process and learn how to become what the patient wants and needs. Depth of his skill and insight: brilliant.
