Condescending. Awful Bedside Manners
Well informed parents of rare neurological disease non speaking child. She ignored our son and hyper focused on mute topics. Our son is 12 years old. Without establishing communication with him during the appointment, she proceeded to check his genitals. Extremely uncomfortable and wrong to do to a member of such a vulnerable population. I regret not stopping this. We will never think about using the office again and can’t imagine ever referring anyone we know to this practice. Staff was incredibly unsupportive of an anxious cognitively impaired child. They were in a rush and did not take the time and patience many of our disabled children need. Staff and doctor need training. Desperately.
