Dr. Jennifer Colvin, DO

I asked to get a refill for a different brand of generic medication because I was having an allergic reaction to one. The pharmacy called to get the okay from the doctor to refill my script with another brand, and Dr. Colvin (after saying she would call me at the end of the day - which I did not need her to do) sent a message simply saying my insurance wouldn't cover that and left for the day not calling me or the pharmacy like she said she would. My insurance did cover it, as the pharmacist contacted my insurance first. I got a nurse practitioner to give the okay, filling it in an hour.

Dr. Colvin always makes me feel that I am heard and understood. She is the most kind and compassionate doctor that I've ever had!

She fully listened to my concerns, provided good explanations, and made a referral upon request with no issues.

I like Dr Colvin very much and realize that my concerns may seem trivial compared to the others she sees but I am highly sensitive and aware of changes in my state of health, come in only after I have watched it for a while and tried what I think I should to improve my condition. I don't generally use conventional treatments/meds as my first go-to. I also am aware of the constraints put on the medical community by insurances, etc. But I would like more discussion of alternatives, at least the significance of the results of blood tests etc. As I said, I like her. I'm not sure what the answer is. I've gone to naturopaths too. I believe the medical community is so overwhelmed that it has to focus on really sick people and not on folks that are trying to STAY well.

Would recommend Dr. Colvin and her team.
