My experience with Dr Erickson-Foster was horrible. She made decisions for me which she had no right to do. She kept information from me and performed procedures she had not discussed with me prior to doing them. She took away my choices because she couldn't or wouldn't take the time to be transparent. Because of her I will never go back to Bellin.

Get a second opinion
With having family members in the medical field (NP, RN, Pharmacy) I wish I could give 5 stars as I know the job is not easy. I suspect that if everything goes as planned- Dr Erickson will be fine. Unfortunately a simple removal of melanoma ended up being referred to IR, and infectious disease, as she would not listen to my concerns early on and my infection would get progressively worse. She dismissed any concerns or my requests of running bloodwork to check for infection. (Ironically blood work was the first thing Infectious disease ran). Also- I would request calls and her staff would only update mychart vs calling me back. It finally took me taking photos of the infected area daily and uploading to get the attention I needed which resulted in IV antibiotics. I’ve had surgeries with Aurora &OSMS and this was by far the poorest experience by any MD. I share this in hopes others receive better treatment of listening to their concerns post surgery. I did request a review by Bellin.

Be aware of your situation
This women manipulated me, threatened me in the operating room, and permanently modified me. She took something from me. She mentally hurt, damaged me. I will never be the same person I was before meeting her. There are no words that describe the pain she has caused me or the pure hatred I have for her.

Dr. Erickson-Foster was recommended to me by my doctor when I needed a surgeon. It was the best advice I could have received. She worked me into her schedule, moved quickly to diagnose my condition and addressed my health issues with honesty and compassion. I never hesitated to take her advice and I have never been sorry. She is an excellent surgeon and doctor. If I would ever need surgery again, she will be the first doctor I will call.
