Dr. Jennifer Foran, MD

Dr. Foran has been nothing but reliable and understanding throughout my experience with her. I appreciate that she takes caution to not over-medicate and explores multiple options. Listens to all your concerns thoroughly.

Dr. Foran is a WONDERFUL doctor, caring, helpful, and has an overall a whole-istic approach to your healthcare. I absolutely love her. Her office however is so bad that I cannot even get a hold of her to leave my grievances, let alone get a refill on prescription or make an appointment. They never call back, they lie about transferring information to other doctors, and don't complete tasks that they were asked to complete and confirmed "completed". I have had utmost patience because of my love and respect for Dr. Foran, however, I feel like it is abuse of power for a front desk office - including management - to treat patients this way when they know patients can't get through to the doctor in any way, including through portals or emails.

Horrible experience with Dr. Foran. At the time my appointment was supposed to begin, the billing office called demanding payment before the visit even occurred. I had never been late on my payments and it is not allowable to bill before the visit. I had already left my credit card information on file so there should have been no question how to bill me. They billing office was insistent I pay, but I told them I was on Zoom waiting for the doctor. The doctor did not show up until 25 minutes into my appointment during which I received 3 more calls from the billing office demanding payment. I called front office to tell them doctor was not there and with 5 minutes left in my appointment she showed up and I only re-entered the Zoom room to let her know her behavior was inappropriate and I would no longer be seeing her. 6 months later I am still getting billing statements demanding payment for a visit that did not happen due to the doctor's absence and the billing office's harassment.

Dr. Foran is very kind and seems like she really wants to help you get to the bottom of whatever issues you are having. She is not one to heavily load you up on drugs, and she also gives you a lot of helpful advice that is not medication related (kind of like therapy). She always spends a lot of time talking with me during my appointments. Usually when I see a psychiatrist, they only spend maybe 5-10 minutes with me, but Dr. Foran usually spends about 30 minutes to an hour during each appointment. She always pays attention to and remembers what you say in your appointments so she is not asking you the same questions multiple times. She also seems very knowledgeable about the medications she prescribes and she will work with you to get you on the right medication and dosage.

I didn’t expect much when I had to switch because of insurance to this psychiatrist, Dr. Foran. However, during our first visit not only did she go over my medication history, but she went over my mental health history, and provided some counseling regarding a situation that I’m dealing with currently. Every other psychiatrist that I’ve seen in my 40 years of life, has been a “pill pusher quote and has not provided me with any meaningful counseling. Also, she make sure that you understand your dosage and how to take the medication, and explains to you the side effects of each medication. She is thorough and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend this physician, because I can tell that she truly cares.
