Stay Away
While she is a very nice lady, I would like to sue her for butchering my foot. I would also like to see her board certification taken away. She kept drawing little pictures of what she was going to do. I may not have asked the right questions but she did not explain why she was doing this, what the results would be and the consequences of her treatment. I went to her to straighten a toe. Instead, she removed a joint from all my toes (left foot) - and did not straighten the toe. I can no longer bend my toes or wiggle them. The untouched toes on my other foot are long and thin, her toes are short and squat and the big toe is swollen, permanently. Toes affect balance and gait. I’m older and have balance issues from hip surgeries - with physical therapy I was doing just fine. Now my balance is a serious problem. I have fallen frequently and must use a cane. A nice lady but do NOT let her touch your toes.

My foot was butchered. I went in for ONLY bunion surgery to my right foot and she cut up ALL of my toes AND my achilles tendon (none of this was necessary or discussed prior to surgery). She maxed out procedures because I had two party insurance coverage. This was a betrayal or trust and now, because of greed, I have to live with unsightly scars, not to mention the excessive pain and extended recuperation from these unneeded procedures.

Dr. Fung-Schwartz is a very nice person, but her practice is extremely disorganized, and her treatments and recommendations seem one-size-fits-all and even contradictory in nature. There is zero patient follow-up, even on aspects that were promised, and communication with the office could not be worse. The doctor's receptionist is grouchy, uninformed, and completely unhelpful. It's a shame that the administrative aspects of the practice are so terrible, because the doctor has a nice manner.
