My first visit was also my last
I was very disappointed in my visit with Dr. Gamber. She seemed to be in a tremendous hurry. The full body skin check was done in fewer than two minutes. I brought up one concern which she very briefly addressed but she left before I could bring up any others. The entire visit lasted less than five minutes. My primary care doc said that she had gotten similar reports from others.

Appointment book never open
I'm used to making my annual appointments for all my doctors as I leave the office each year. Not here. First told to call six months ahead. Nope. Her book is still not open five months ahead. It's on me to continue to call in. Plus the path to making an appointment is arduous. Looking for a new derm.

Doc very rushed - offers no suggestions on questions asked - yes or no response if that. Gives very quick exam - misses things unless pointed out to her. Very uncaring stiff personality. Have used several times - have not taken time to find another dermatologist- will make a real effort now. Assistant and office staff about the same. Will not go back to this office.

Absolutely Terrible
This person should not be a doctor. She has absolutely no concern for the patient, no time for the patient and no bedside manner. I don't know what her problem is but I will absolutely never go to her again. This practice has gone downhill. I have been going to this group of doctors of 25 years and in the last 2-3 years I have had the worst experiences.

Rushed is an understatement
I should have read the reviews. I don’t know why you bother filling out all the medical history forms, when it sat on my chair and she never looked or asked about it. I have never been to any medical appointment where I felt so rushed. I asked questions but got no responses. There was no effort to get to know me as a new patient (or person) and she had no recommendations about anything. When she and the medical assistant left the room, I sat in there wondering what happened and if I was to leave. I hope her exam was better than the review of my documents and her people skills. I wouldn’t know.

Never again - 60 second visit
I have seen Dr. Gamber several times over the years. She has never had a personable or approachable demeanor but I stayed with her because I thought she was thorough. My, how times have changed. She came into the room, looked at the four spots I was concerned about and quickly left. I am 65 and I would think she would have some advice, e.g., be careful about the sun, or maybe ask me if I have any questions. On the up side, I did not need to wait to be seen, but I would rather wait two hours than to be dismissed and left to feel invisible. I am not exaggerating when I say she was in the office with me for 60 seconds ( it was probably closer to 30 seconds). Unbelievable!

Dr. Gamber is very professional & found a small, small melanoma for which I’m forever grateful. However, my daughter was told she would be called if her bx was positive for infection; never called; her infection got bad & she will probably be left w/a bad scar.

Nice, but rushes patients
I've been going to Gamber for about 15 years off and on. She is nice, and in the beginning she would spend time with me. But now she tries to get you in and out as quickly as she can. As she's rushing out the door you're left sitting in the room with questions popping up in your head, but you can't ask her because she's already out the door. The beginning of the appointment is just as confusing and frustrating. Before she comes in, she sends in a staff member to ask why you're there. The staff member leaves, and then minutes later I can hear the staff person giving a shortened version of what I said to Gamber in the hallway outside of the door. Then Gamber walks in and I repeat myself all over again because I want explain myself to her directly. Now she changed medication prescriptions, without telling me the new plan. I was supposed to receive a different morning medicine, but the instructions say to use it at night. She already prescribed me a nighttime medicine, so ???

Does not take time with the patient, my mom had to get undressed and for nothing. Dr. Gamber never checked her back, legs and head. I stopped going to her several years ago because she was not helpful and did not seem to care.

Dr Gamber is very professional and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions, and spent a good amount of time with me. She discovered my skin cancer and directed me to a Mohs surgeon. I absolutely would recommend Dr. Gamber!
