Dr. Jennifer Grabenstetter, MD

Very caring, not rushed, explained hysterectomy and answered all my questions.

I have been seeing Dr. Grabenstetter for a little over 4 years. I thought she was fine at first. I feel like she handles typical PAP smears and yearly visits just fine. However, I have been voicing my concern for the last 3 years about my irregular periods without birth control, extreme hair loss and thinning around my scalp, and other symptoms of PCOS. She basically told me that I was 'too obese' to palpate and that she could not check for ovarian cysts. Despite transvaginal scans and ultrasounds being obvious tools. I have finally been correctly diagnosed with and am properly being treated for PCOS by an endocrinologist and my PCP. As a 'female' doctor, I feel that she does not actually listen or is willing to handle anything outside of a typical appointment. It has been an incredible relief to finally be heard about my symptoms and be taken seriously. I am exploring other gynecologists at this time and I would recommend any patient do the same.

I visited her office on one occasion, when I called her to schedule a follow-up appointment after a treatment, she never answered my calls, emails, or my messages through my chart. My condition is high risk. After several attempts, even through my primary doctor, they gave me an appointment for today. After a long wait, and passing several patients who arrived after me, I asked at reception what the delay was due to and they told me that it was because an emergency had arisen, I waiting for a long time and when I ask again the receptionist tells me that another emergency has arisen again. Unbelievable!! Even though I told them that i was in a lot of pain, they didn't treat me, they just told me that I can go to the emergency. this “Dr”according to my experience is not a professional, has no empathy nor cares about her patients. and I don't want to think that because I’m Latin she could have apathy and never responded to my messages.

Dr Grabenstetter listens and takes her time with you. She is knowledgeable and explains everything well. You can tell she cares.

She was excellent in listening to my fears and concerns as a first time mom to be. She was extremely nice, skilled, and made me feel comfortable. The staff was even really nice and would remember not only me but the fact I was having a boy and the name we had picked for him. Excellent service!

She did not take the time to understand my needs as a patient. I have been seeing her for 4+ years, and she didn't remember me or my concerns. She didn't like that I disagreed with her opinions, and she made recommendations that conflicted with my other doctors'. She made me uncomfortable with her remarks and actually left the exam room at one point. I felt I had to continue the exam just to get out of there and have time to find a new doctor for my next yearly exam. I would never go back.

I'm 62 yrs old, I need a Gyn that will take time to listen, advise, and do a little hand holding when I have 'issues'. She has wonderful bedside manner, so down to earth, explains everything so I can understand it, and takes all the time 'I' need. She calls me personally with results, and is probably one of the kindest, calming Dr's I've encountered in years. IF there was a way to give a higher rating, I WOULD!

Smooth checking in process, she spends the appropriate amount of time and is very thorough. More so than any other gynecologist I've ever been to!
