Dr. Jennifer Guggenheim, MD

I have seen Dr. Guggenheim several times over the last few years, and every time she dismisses any medical concerns I have, ignores my family history of medical diagnoses, and forgets what we discussed just a few weeks prior. I had an IUD insertion, and she forgot which IUD I was supposed to get and almost inserted the wrong one, inserted the IUD before I signed a consent form, and then after I signed the consent form it was for the first incorrect IUD. No attention to detail, no concern for patient well being, and no memory of past visits and medical discussions. Additionally, when I tried to schedule another appointment with a different doctor in the same office, I was told that I was only allowed to see her and no one else. I quickly switched offices entirely. I would highly caution anyone who wants to visit Dr. Guggenheim.

I have been a patient of Dr. Guggenheim for many years. She has always been very caring about me and my health and always makes sure that my questions and concerns have been addressed. She fully explains any recommended treatment and makes sure I’m comfortable and well-informed. Recently, I was in pre-op for polyp removal. My husband suddenly was having dizzy spells and, as he has heart issues, they took him to ER for evaluation. Dr. Guggenheim told me that there was no rush with my surgery and that they could delay it or postpone it to make sure that I wasn’t going under anesthesia without knowing that my husband was okay. She even went down twice to ER to check on him! He was okay and released and my surgery went forward. I sincerely appreciate that her concern for both me and my husband was a priority over her time. She never made me feel that delaying my surgery was any inconvenience to her and that we were her priority.

My first gyn visit since pre-covid, and my first wit’s Dr. Guggenheim. She was very pleasant and immediately put me at ease. She patiently answered all my questions and I felt very comfortable opening up to her about the sensitive topic of feminine health. This being my first gyn visit in a long time, I had many questions, but I was trying to be mindful of her time. She reassured me that she was not in a hurry, and patiently listened to my questions. I really appreciated that. Overall, a very pleasant and positive experience. I would definitely recommend Dr. Guggenheim and their entire practice.

I had an in office procedure Dr Guggenheim is an excellent Dr She explains everything as she goes along . She answers all your questions and is very comforting

I had a C-section with Dr. Guggenheim. I still wonder if it was completely necessary, and to this day I am very disappointed with my experience. No one walked me through risks and options and I wasn’t given a choice on how they closed me up (staples vs. sutures). My scar never healed correctly and was poorly closed. Should I have another C-section, I will definitely look for another doctor who has a high level of skill with stitches so that my scar heals properly. Should I attempt a vaginal birth, I definitely need to go elsewhere as when I mentioned VBAC, the Dr’s response was that my second cesarean would be “better than my first”.

My first time seeing Dr. Guggenheim she had a trainee perform my pap. The person couldn't figure out how to get it in and clip whatever needs to be clipped. It kept being jammed in uncomfortable angles. I've never had Dr. Guggenheim perform that on me, but the fact that we just met and she asked if someone else could do it only to find out it was likely that person's first time, did NOT sit well with me. To this day, I am fearful of getting a pap. Heebie jeebies.

When you have patients that are post menopausal and they keep on having abnormal pap smears that doesn't mean they have HPV or cervical cancer, it means the person reading the sample cannot tell the difference between atrophic vaginitis and HPV. These patients do not need a hysterectomy they just need a GYN who hears their patient. The only person winning in the case of an unnecessary hysterectomy is the doctor. Please stop urging women to have a hysterectomy by prescribing colposcopies, leeps and cold cone procedures.

I met with Dr. G yesterday for the first time. I am just under 14 weeks pregnant, and due to risk factors, took my 3-hour glucose test a couple weeks ago. When meeting with her, I asked her about my test. My results had previously been relayed to me as "negative, with one value *slightly* elevated." Dr. G responded to me by saying that because I had one abnormal value, I "didn't have gestational diabetes yet, but was definitely going to get it." I asked her about what I could do to prevent it, if there were diet changes or other modifications to my lifestyle I could make and she said "Well I will just give you a glucose monitor and code you as having GD, even though you don't. You don't need to use it yet, but you will once you have GD." I was highly offended at this response, given that a single abnormal test in a 3-hour glucose DOES NOT predict that I will get GD at some point in my pregnancy, AND that she coded me for an illness she knew I did not have just to write a prescription.

I had to find a new doctor due to insurance change and location. I was fortunate to have found Dr, Guggenheim. She is exactly what I was looking for in a doctor. She is very professional, compassionate, personable, knowledgeable & understanding. She listens to you and spends adequate time with you. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a Obgyn.

I was referred to a gynecologist by another specialist to have a cervical polyp removed and analyzed. This team found an appointment asap. All of the staff members handled my needs efficiently, professionally and compassionately. I was impressed that I waited less than 10 minutes. The MA, Angelica, was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Jennifer Guggenheim was professional, brilliant, compassionate, knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor...impressive medical expertise & care.

It is always a comfortable visit with Dr. Guggenheim. I like the personal experience and the staff is also very pleasant and professional.

This doctor doesn't listen to your concerns or downplays them, I found her to be very condescending about my concerns with my first pregnancy (which ended up in a miscarriage, and then D&C). I felt fortunate to have switched doctors before this news/procedure.

Wonderful physician I can highly recommend Dr Guggenheim. She is thorough, patient, detailed, and a great listener. She explains things in terms that I can understand. After having a bad experience at another OB/GYN I was relieved when I met Dr Guggenheim. She made me feel at ease about the surgery I had to have.

I have been seeing Dr. Guggenheim for three years and have had a very positive experience with her and her practice. I find her to be friendly, direct, knowledgeable and patient. I've never waited more than 10 minutes in the waiting room prior to an appointment and I have never felt as though she was speeding through our time together. I would highly recommend Dr. Guggenheim.

Dr. Guggenheim is incredible! She really takes time to listen, she is quicik to answer questions and give advice, and above all she make what can be an uncomfortable visit easy and supportive. I completely trust her.
