I do not recommend her or her office
I’ve been a patient of hers for 8 years. I was very impressed by her the first 3-4 years. Sadly since then it has been so difficult to get an appointment with her. The office staff has always been unresponsive and doesn’t follow through. Incredibly frustrating and scary when you cannot get medical support when you need it most. I am searching for another doctor now.

No Longer A Top Doctor
Dr. Odutola has been my family's Rheumatologist for many years. She was amazing. I am now highly disappointed with her. My father was her patient and at the end of his life, while in the hospital for 2 months, she did not return any of the doctor's phone calls. My dad had an unexplainable condition affecting his lungs that no doctor could figure out. Many attempts were made to connect with Dr. Odutola. The doctors had many questions but she never returned their calls. I called the office twice from the hospital, crying, begging for her to return the hospital doctors calls. She never did. I believe now, that my dad had undiagnosed LUPUS which caused scarring of the lungs and cost him his life. My mother continued to see Dr. Odatula who has prescribed a controlled pain killer to my mother twice that has been filled by the pharmacy even though the drug is prescribed by another provider. Dr. Odatula has missed 2 appointments with my mom with no follow up.

Terrible Front Office Staff
My mother experienced the same thing everyone else has reported. My mother was a long-time patient of Dr. Oduttola (10+ years) and about 3 years ago everything went south. It started during Covid; the office staff would not return phone calls, and they made promises they never followed through on; the bottom line was my mom just wasn't receiving ANY care (she has crippling rheumatoid arthritis). Unfortunately, my mother had no choice but to leave this doctors care. As others stated, the Doctor IS wonderful, but you cannot even see her due to the inept front office staff. You cannot even make an appointment with her!

I've been a patient of Dr. Odutola for 16 years. She is a terrific doctor, IF you can see her. Trouble began about 4 or 5 years ago when her office staff began messing up in a big way. They canceled 2 of my appointments without informing me and it takes me 2 hours to drive there from my home. (Yes, Dr. Odutola is that good.) I had an injection done in the wrong spot that caused me 3 days of excessive pain. I began getting infusions about a year and a half ago, every 2 months. I got them at the infusion center that is in the same building as her new office. After a year, her office informed me that they would be doing the infusions there. I had 2 infusions, then, a week before my next infusion, they called to tell me they "lost" their infusion nurse. I did everything I could to get someone from that office to HEAR me. It came down to them never answering their phones. I called 12 times one day and no one answered, nor did they ever return my calls. I set up an appointment myself at the infusion center because I was desperate for relief from this horrible pain. I managed to get an infusion but was soon notified by Dr. Odutola that she is no longer associated with the infusion center. I actually got my next infusion in her office but the following infusion was cancelled 1 1/2 hours before the appointment! I was already on my way to get it. I was told someone would call me as soon as they found another infusion nurse. No one called until I made a post of myself (the squeaky wheel). Dr. Odutola called me and said she's ordering samples of the injectable version of what I'm infused with and they should be in 2 days later. Two WEEKS later, I got a call saying the injections were in and that someone would call me to set up an appointment for the injection. No one has called and it's been almost 2 weeks. I got a text from her office asking me if I was able to pick up the sample. (???) A few days ago, I received a bill in the mail for over $250 for my last infusion in January. I've never had to pay a penny because Medicare covers the entire thing. I even got a statement from Medicare saying I would not owe anything. I don't know what is going on there but it's serious and negatively affecting several patients, not just me.

She is the best!
Dr. Odutola is truly outstanding. She is empathetic, she listens, she doesn’t rush you, and she is extremely knowledgeable. There can be a wait time for an appointment but that is because of demand.

Office Support
Post COVID customer service is horrible. While the doctor is wonderful the staff leaves me very frustrated. They leave messages for you telling you when your next appointment is but when you try to change it it's almost impossible to get a human that can help. What happened to being able to make your own appointment by talking to someone instead of struggling to change it. I spent three weeks trying to change an appointment made for me out in November. Kept being told that she has a very busy schedule. I get that but we're talking about November and it's March. As suggested, when you do send an email or leave a voice mail it's doubtful that they will respond.

I have been going to Dr. Odutola for over 13 years. She is not only knowledgeable, she is compassionate, caring, and takes time to listen to you. She makes sure she answers all of your questions and that you understand the course of action. You have to wait a while but that’s because she doesn’t rush you in or out and I’m ok with that. Her nurse is wonderful but I can’t say the same about her staff. I live in Purcellville but no matter where I move; I’ll always come back for my visits to Dr. Odutola.

Dr. Odutola is an excellent Doctor who I love but the administrative staff that support calls and provide follow-up are incredibly poor. I feel like they are indifferent. It is very frustrating for me trying to call in to get a response from this office.

Dr Odutola is one of the most caring doctors I've met. She runs late lots of time, but that is because she is a doctor that actually spends MORE than enough time w you, no 10 minutes and you're shown the door. If you need 20=25 minutes, you get that!!! Very nice nurses/assistants. Dr Odutola really looks at the patient's overall health issues and works together w you seek the outcome you desire, or what will improve your condition. It is tough sometimes to get through to office or book appointment, but the doctor is definitely worth it......as in "the Juice is Worth the Squeeze"

I have been going to Dr Odutola for a number of years.I have always found her to be kind and patient to listening to what I have to say. She is willing to work with you to find the right treatment that will work for you. I do wish she would put her IPad down some and not be looking at it so much. She is busy, but I 'am very happy to have her as my Dr. And would not consider changing to any other less busy Dr.
