Dr. Jennifer Seibel, MD

I met Dr. Seibel in the ED.I was admitted very ill with a CSF and enterococceus facecalis meningitis from two prior spine surgeries. Upon arrival is seemed as if it took forever for anyone to come into my room to see me. After laying there for two plus hours I became very thirsty. I asked Dr. Seibel, if I could get some water. She replied, "no, because you may be going into surgery." After having many invasive surgeries, I understood her reason. I didn't think of asking for ice chips, but my mom did. I was given ice chips and a sponge to suck on. It seemed to make me even more thirsty. Very ill and delusional, I asked Dr. Seibel again for a smallglass of water. In the presence of my son and mom, she ANGRILY replied, "you always want something more when you know you can't have it." Needless to say, we were so happy when I was transferred out of EC to St. Mary's in Rochester. The staff in EC could use some extra training in dealing with people who have me mental health issues.
