Dr. Jenny Tan, MD

We've been seeing Dr. Tan since my daughter was born. She's always been amazing, UNTIL her recent move to the new office on Main Street, Saint Charles. It is easily the worst office I have EVER been to. We went there three separate times in the past four months and our wait times AFTER our appointment times were 35, 45, over an hour (left after an hour so who knows). I would NEVER recommend anyone go to that office EVER. It stinks that we now are forced into finding a new doctor at this age/stage due to the offices complete lack of competence.

I really like Dr. Tan and I think she is smart, thorough, and patient. I've also had good experiences with the nurses. But, 2 of the past 3 appointments I've had, I've waited over 2 hours to see the doctor. They've been apologetic but they have a serious scheduling issue. The last time I had an appointment, my son was sick with a fever and the air conditioning was out in the office (in the summer). By the time she saw him, he was screaming, in pain, I was in tears, and she was barely able to check him. I would have preferred not to be scheduled if they don't actually have availability. I'll also note the office is in rough shape (carpeting pulled up, lights not working...on one appointment it smelled of natural gas and when my husband said something, they said there was an HVAC issue...he had to say "don't you think you should vent this waiting room?!"). We switched ASAP.

Dr. Jenny Tan is truly one of the best doctors I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and I'm a nurse! My daughter and I moved to Geneva and I was concerned we wouldn't find a good pediatrician. Dr. Jenny Tan fulfilled all of my requirements and then some! She is incredibly intelligent and will think outside of the box. She takes all of your concerns seriously. You might have a longer wait at the doctors office to see her, however she will take all the time you and your child need to figure out the best solution to resolve the illness/problem. You will never find another doctor that cares more about your child AND the parent! She has such an amazing bed side manner. Here is another great thing about this office; ALL the doctors at this facility are great! So if you can't get in to see Dr. Jenny, you will see another amazing doctor. If she leaves the practice, I will track her down and drive hours for my daughter to see her. She is seriously that good. We love her!

Dr. Tan is very thorough, kind and knowledgeable. She found a heart murmur in my son no else had ever mentioned. She spends a lot of time with you, answers all questions and explains things. The wait time can be long even though there are 3 doctors in the office, but once Dr. Jenny comes in she spends all the time you need. I highly recommend her. I am super picky and hesitated to switch doctors when we moved, but our drive was an hour and I needed to find another doctor closer.
