Dr Putnam and his staff are friendly and professional. I am an RN and I am always impressed with the excellent care he delivers to his patients. He is very knowledgeable, compassionate and always makes sure his patients fully understand their diagnosis and treatment before leaving his office. I highly recommend him.

I would only recommend him because getting an appointment with a psychiatrist in this city is like finding a needle in a haystack and he is near a metro station. But otherwise, no. I must have spent only 15 minuted with him because he was so detached and rushed me out of his office back to the charge of his rude abrasive receptionist. Not a pleasant experience. If you are looking for good bedside manner and empathy, look elsewhere.
