Terrible experience
Patient had broken neck and was in nursing home. Davis refused to answer any GENERAL questions regarding prognosis for neck fractures, healing potential, nerve pain etc. that the family had. He kept insisting patient come to the clinic for examination. That was not possible at that time. We were told to quit bothering him. Other physicians ( orthopedic and pain clinic) were willing to do a virtual visit in this same situation to answer our questions - but not him. Miraculously patient was able to make the trip to see Davis over a month later. He did not introduce himself and NEVER examined or touched her. He simply stated that portable x- rays done a month earlier showed the fractures had healed sufficiently! Why was she forced to come in for an examination that never happened? Why weren’t we informed that the fractures had healed? Perhaps he’s a good surgeon but bedside manner and patient interaction were TERRIBLE !

Top notch
I have been a patient of Dr. Davis for about 20 years. He has always been helpful in ordering appropriate tests and fighting for necessary referrals due to complex issues beyond his scope of expertise. His bedside manner is friendly and concise. He is sympathetic, but don't expect to be coddled. He will tell you the truth over what you might want to hear. He is good at discerning each patient's level of understanding and will speak to you at your level. After surgery, my symptoms dramatically improved immediately upon waking up. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled neurosurgeon.
