Dr. Jess Youngblood, MD

I would not recommend this practice at this time. Huge turnover of staff from receptionist to lab workers to nurses to nurse practioners. Every visit there are always new employees. They dont return your calls promptly, and sometimes not at all. They lost the best employee they ever had when they lost Tisha Hood, Family Nurse Practitioner. She was kind, understanding, never rushed you, always had your health as a priority, knowledgeable, and I could go on and on. I always scheduled my appointments with her. I knew I could trust and count on her.

Excellent Service

I have been forced to see people in this facility for several years due to insurance problems. They clearly state they don’t have time to see you for ALL of your problems. Most of the NP’s are very rude. I have seen a doctor maybe 2 times out of 5 years. I have been treated so rudely by the NP’s. They have a huge turnover in staff. Every time I’m there they have a new NP. They are just rude and unprofessional. I normally would not take the time to report this or complain but having dealt with it for 5 years I believe it is time to sound the alarm. Do Not Go Here Unless Necessary!

If you go here, you will NOT be seen by a doctor. I scheduled six months in advance and was told the day before that my appointment was changed to a nurse practitioner. So I rescheduled for another three months from then. I got the text indicating my appointment was with him. The next day I showed up, and ONLY after paying my copay was told that they switched me to a nurse practitioner. I very angrily told the receptionist how much I appreciated her waiting till NOW (once they had my money) to inform me of that, and I clarified "Yes, I am being sarcastic." He used to be a good doctor, but I think he now is only out to make money, and lots of it. I will be switching to another doctor.

I would recommend Dr. Youngblood highly. I like that when he comes in, he remembers you, is very personable, and always has time to just chat a bit. Thank you

Whether personal or professional, I have high expectations out of those I seek professional services from, work, dine, shop, or fellowship with, by my own choice.  Dr YB and Premier Family Care is not named carelessly.  They are indeed Premier in medically serving this community with high ethics, standards, morals, and care.  As a diabetic with other contributing health concerns, I regularly turn my health and life into the hands of Dr. Mizelle, Dr. Berry, Dr. Self, and Dr YB as may be required for care.  Incidentally, it's never been a problem to get advance lab work testing, an impromptu injection from a nurse, or worked into a schedule as a "walk-in patient" on any given day.  This team and supporting staff is exceptional. They are professional, courteous, solidly educated, up to date on political medical challenges, medications, alternative options, therapy, and referrals.

Absolutely awful practice. Do not use this office. Chronic diabetes patient and office visit after office visit they REFUSED to do bloodwork ahead of time. See the doctor who asks why you didn't get bloodwork done, promises to fix after you explain. Nothing to discuss as no labs to review, week later get a letter stating labs were off. Once had real bad backpain and after expensive xray appointment and a shrug went to different urgent care diagnosed with shingles, givenscripts and recovered. They are awful!!!

Dr. Youngblood is a Godsend to me and my family. He is caring, listens, and takes the time to thoroughly discuss our illnesses or conditions. Wait time is very short, he takes walkins, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

One of the best PCMs I've had the opportunity to work with. Great operations, wonderful staff, fantastic atmosphere. Walkins are welcome! Do not expect a lack of attention and try to go get a script filled - They will not function to that standard.

Dr Youngblood is very caring and shows concern. He takes time to give a good check up. He listens and explains. I appreciate the fact that he takes time to pray with and for me. That's very important to me. I thank God for a Good, Christian Dr. The staff members are wonderful. They're sweet, carring people. I wish they were in Boaz or Albertville, Al !! Dr Deanis very good also ! He's now in Arab , Al
