Dr. Jesse Otero, MD

Dr. Otero did a Total knee replacement on my left knee December 2024. Within 90 days I was back in the gym, light hiking, and bike riding . I am having my right knee replaced in about a month. May 2025. Dr. Otero did such an amazing job with my first replacement, that he is the surgeon I trust to do my second one. He is experienced, knowledgeable, and he’s a cool dude too.

Dr. Otero listened and paid attention to my concerns. I am an above the knee amputee since 2017, and Dr. Otero was the first doctor to give me hope in a very long time. He was empathetic, and offered a sound and honest assessment of my situation. He also provided me with a referral for physical therapy, which I will follow up with before I see him again.

It was my first time there, but everything went well.

Dr Otero is an excellent surgeon. He was recommended to my by mu PT who said he had seen the best outcomes from Dr Otero compared to others. Was worth the wait to get on his schedule. If anyone needs a hip replacement I strongly recommend him. The entire practice was very efficient (little to no waits at the appointment), everyone was helpful, professional, and polite. Not a single thing during the process that I would suggest changing.

I was fortunate to get Dr. Otero’s only open appointment this week. He had reviewed my records, ordered another X-ray and basically laid the facts out for me to consider. He was professional and caring. I had looked at his reviews and understand why he gets such consistent excellent ratings. His staff was also professional and kind.

Dr. Otero was not hurried and took his time to fully explain in detail the procedures for my knee replacement. He is personable and friendly with excellent communications with his patients and putting them at ease. I have complete full confidence in Dr.Otero.

Dr. Jesse Otero is the best Orthopedic Doctor I have ever seen!! He gave me back the ability to walk again, when no one else would help me! I owe him forever for fixing my hip!! I would highly recommend him for any hip issues you may have!!

Dr Otero was very compassionate about my knee problems. He listened to my concerns and we came up with a great game plan. I was impressed that he was on time. I waited a very short period for him to come into the room after he reviewed my X-rays. He was very professional and knowledgeable as well. I’ve seen several Orthopedic Drs. He has impressed me the most.

Dr. Otero was very kind to start with.He was also to the point and very honest in his review of my X-rays.He identified the very positive aspects of a previous hip replacement surgery, and why the doctor who had performed it was very competent, as well as the prognosis for its continued functional success.He also addressed the status of the opposite hip (not replaced) that had been diagnosed with “probable arthritis” 15-years ago as definite replacement within five years of the other hip replacement. Dr. Otero, patiently and pragmatically reviewed my X-rays pointing out that the hip in question would likely never require replacement to its current structural integrity and minimal arthritis! He took the time yo cite various characteristics of the joint to support what he was saying and why it was true.This honesty is a rarity in today’s patient facing medical organizations where a general process fits all and financial gain is the primary objectives of Health Systems.

I was very impressed with Dr.Otero. Looking forward to working with him in knee replacement.

After my first surgery I was very disappointed it wasn’t by Dr Otero, I have a large scar from it and still pain from it. Dr. Otero did the right knee and I barely have a scar. It’s only been 6 months and I still have pain but nothing like the first one. Dr. Otero hands down for me. He’s the only one that I want to be doing any other surgery that he can do.

Doctor Otero is by far the best surgeon in the world. But a great man also. Would highly recommend him to anyone. Also would never think of going anywhere else.

My first impression of Dr Otero was Super Friendly and knowledgeable. Talks on a level that is understandable and clear. He clearly knows his job and is so reassuring that the job will be done right. It has been one month since my total knee replacement surgery with Dr. Otero. My surgery was flawless and I am up and about without the assistance of a cane. My right knee was badly bowed, which he corrected perfectly. I would highly recommend Dr. Otero to anyone that requires total knee replacement.
