Unable to see patient’s issues not good
Visited this doctor with my young college child to make sure medications were properly working. We had concerns their safety and severe depression. Had feedback from roommates other family members and school personnel. Child manipulated doctor and doc was unable to see the safety concerns we had. It’s very sad that doc’s only advice was to stop being helicopter parents. If parents show up with a college child with concerns there is an issue and it shouldn’t be taken so lightly. Praying nothing happens to my child because this doc did not take us seriously. Word of advice. If you have a child with mental health struggles get a power of attorney when they are a teen else working with the system after age 18 is a nightmare. Just because the government says the magical morning of the 18th bday turns someone into an adult it doesn’t make it true. Mental Health professionals should understand this more than anyone and listen to others who know them. The brain is not fully developed.

Dr. Edwards' outstanding help and expertise has helped both my husband and me understand and accept the challenges of my husbands' mental condition. She is very knowledgeable and direct with explaining facts, but also very considerate. She taught me 'how, why', and what to expect, which helped both me and my husband understand his very complicated situation. With her guidance, I was able to feel much less anxious, which helped us have more peace and hope in our lives together. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Edwards !
