Great surgeon and after care
She did a great job explaining the surgery before and answering questions after. The laparoscopic ascending colon surgery and recovery went smoothly. She regularly checked up on my husband in the hospital and after he got out.

I honestly can't thank Dr. Santillano enough. She saved my life. Not once but twice. Im 28 years old. When she first saw me in late Jan/early Feb. I stumbled into the emergency room with a very very burst appendix. I was scared and she had such a calming energy. She did the surgery and put me and my family at ease. A month later I had complications due to surgery. She didnt perform the second surgery but was in constant communication. She and her assistant were incredible and wonderful advocates

Dr Santillano's philosophy statement reflects how you are treated. She takes time to explain exactly what your situation is and what the options are. She tells you the pro's and cons of your situation, explains reports and terminology. She takes time to answer questions and makes sure you understand what's happening to you. She made me feel like I had the best care I could have. Post care has been as important as pre care, answering all questions and walking me through to the next steps.
