Dr. Mustapha saved my mom's leg
My mom had a painful foot and her toes were turning blue. I called Dr. Mustapha's office and she was schedule for an appointment the next day. Dr. Mustapha found that she had a blockage in an artery in her leg. He removed the blockage and placed a stent. Her pain went away and her she is doing great! We are so thankful to Dr. Mustapha for his kindness, expertise and care.

I owe Dr. Mustapha my life. He has been able to save my leg multiple times. 4 other hospitals, including the Cleacland Clinic, could only offer me amputation. Dr.Mustapha was able to perform surgery and save my leg with no complications. Without him I would have lost my leg. This last surgery, I traveled all the way from Ohio to Florida just to see him and once again perform his magic and save my leg again! Before surgery I couldn't walk to the end of my drive. Now I can walk for thousands of steps pain free. There is no better surgeon out there than Dr. Mustapha. I am forever greatful for all he has done for me. He also worked with me and fought my insurance for me. He cares so much about his patients and follows through with them. I now consider him a close friend. You won't find a better surgeon or person in the world. I owe Dr. Mustapha my life and am forever greatful for his talents as a surgeon. Without him, I wouldn't have a leg and possibly my life without him !!

Dr. Mustapha saved my mother's life!
We learned of Dr. Mustapha in 2019 after my 86-year-old Mom was discharged from Mercy Hospital in Muskegon on the day she was supposed to have surgery on her foot. The doctors didn't feel she would survive surgery so cancelled the surgery. She had open wounds on her toes and her pain was incredible. We were told when Mom's pain was unbearable, they would schedule amputation. Within two weeks we learned of Dr. Mustapha. The staff were kind enough to squeeze her in immediately. He took one look at her foot and stated she was days from gangrene. They scheduled her late the following day for the first procedure. She was back numerous times over the next two weeks for ultrasounds and additional procedures. He gave us his cell number in the event we needed to talk to him. We were never promised his procedure would cure her but if successful, amputation could be averted. My mom is 91 and just returned from wintering in Florida. Her wounds healed. She uses a walker pain free.

Dr. Mustapha is a gift from God
There are not enough words to express how much faith I have in Dr. Mustapha. He is kind, gifted, incredibly empathetic to his patients and their families. He is a family man dedicated to traditional values and a physician dedicated to healing. He has shared his expertise all over the world and we are just happy that we were the beneficiaries of his ability to save limbs. My husband was painfully close to having his legs amputated and two of our friends that we directed to Dr. Mustapha (and two sons) were relieved of their pain without having amputations. They all went from either not walking, or only walking with a walker, to being totally independent. My husband is even able to, again, ride his Harley.

He saved my legs.
While the VA told me for several years to 'wait and see' I became almost totally incapacitated. I could only walk approximately 100 ft or less before my legs would cramp and I would have to sit. After my surgery with Dr. Mustapha I am living a normal life. He is and was a Godsend.

Exceptional Vascular Surgeon! He & Dr. Vinayak Manohar (Cardiologist) were instrumental in saving my father's right foot and most of his left leg when Spectrum wanted to amputate w/o trying to save the limb. Would be hard to find a better or more caring vascular surgeon anywhere. Heartbroken when Dr. Mustapha left Metro but ecstatic that we have now located him at a new facility. Can't speak for service at new facility as it appears a couple of reviewers have but Dr. Mustapha himself is awesome!

Dr. Mustapha is the best Cardiologist ever. He is so kind and knowledgeable. A very positive forward thinking person. He is the BEST! I started going to Metro Heart & Vascular because of Dr. Mustapha. They have lost a great person and doctor if Dr. Mustapha goes elsewhere. Dr. Mustapha, please let us, your patients, know where you are now practicing. Miss you, Tobi & Jerred Parris 231-856-0268

I underwent a bilateral iliac artery Stent procedure. I was told I would be able to resume normal activities after a week of recovery. I continued to have severe pain 9 months later. I called their office repeatedly. I was told I was doing too much. After they cancelled my appointment a 3rd time, I made an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic. They found the stents had failed. I underwent emergency surgery that night. The CC surgeon was concerned the aneurysms would have ruptured very soon.

I went to see Dr. Mustapha because I was experiencing some symptoms that could be related to a heart problem. He was an excellent listener, asked very good questions, and did not make me feel uncomfortable. He was a Dr. that was very easy to communicate with. My immediate feeling was that he was a very Kind man...and that he definitely is.
